Rumor has it you are going to be at The Arnold and will have free samples. Is that true? :)
That part is true :D ... However the part that says I will be wearing a Bunny outfit while doing it is not true, ha ha.
And the samples are AWESOME...I just have to fend off the gym guys for one more day because they are trying to stick their hands in my cookie jar...errr...sample box :)

HA HA ... could you imagine the ANIMAL guys standing there as I walk in with my pink ears on and a bushy bunny tail and lay down and rep out 315 for about 24 reps. Oh man that would be priceless :D

Just putting this out there: takes some stones to walk into the enemy camp. And win. Congrats to all. Waiting for the youtube links. :)

From what I could tell, It actually appeared very friendly in the cage, when Gaspari entered, even the spotter for both sides was Animal Lifter..

I would have shared more but I didn't see it in person. I was working the Gaspari booth the whole time. I only heard about it second hand. Sorry.
And I believe the checks for hire heroes were $1,000 each. Originally it was just the losing company who was going to have to pay, but Gaspari wrote a check out to the charity regardless.
Thanks to the Animal folks for hosting the event and for providing some great entertainment. Animal/Universal is a class act and we were proud to do this event with them, regardless of the outcome.

Video keeps crashing.
Does anyone have the actual results or are they posted anywhere?
Such as
Joe Smith for Gaspari did 24 reps of 235 lbs
John Doe for Animal did 19 reps of 278
etc?
Thanks

Was a really sweet event to watch. Both teams put up some awesome numbers and the environment in the Cage was electric. I gotta say the best part for me was where the guest judge parked herself right in front of where I was sitting in the Cage :D
It was a great event for a great cause.

Here is a Gaspari TV video from the event at the Cage

*Brian was incorrect in noting 15-20 reps, Team Gaspari won by 11 reps total.
I want to thank Eric and the guys at Universal for jumping on board for this worthy cause, Brian Stann was thrilled to be a part of it to benefit Hire Heroes USA. I think we can do this every year! For those of you who talked smack, thinking Animal had it in the bag -Team Gaspari represented and brought home the win with "Pretty Boy" Ryan Hughes, Hidetada Yamagishi and Mark Alvisi!!

Huge respect to Gaspari on an awesome showing... They came in lean, mean and did work and were class acts in the process.
Definitely not my best set. Never really had a rhythm or felt in the groove--each rep felt different than the last. Haha. Some days you eat the bear, some days the bear eats you.
Had a chance to talk to Ryan Hughes while we were waiting for our delayed flight home to Philly. More than a pretty boy, the kid is strong, has a great physique and a good head on his shoulders. He's definitely going places.
Was proud to do battle in The Cage alongside my Animal brothers this crazy weekend and all was for an awesome cause. Thanks to Gaspari and Bodybuilding.com for coming together with us to rally behind such a worthy charity and support the troops.
All that said... Rematch?
Peace, G

This was by FAR the best event of the Arnold. It was amazing to see these two great, standup companies coming together to do battle. I was standing in the cage next to Rich and Liz Gaspari, Mark Alvisi, G Diesel, Frank McGrath, and chatted it up with Hidetada. Truly in the presence of greatness. Took a ton of pictures which I will post up as soon as I get the chance. Great showing by all sides.

Team Gaspari definitely came in and turned a few heads but the Animal teams lifts were equally as impressive given the weight they were pushin. Great showing by everyone involved and it was a pleasure competing with all you guys. The pretty boys comments definitely helped me push through those last couple reps!

Thanks a lot bro, I appreciate that. It was great meeting you guys and I had an awesome time in the cage. You guys do some badass stuff for the Arnold and the cage is definitely one of the highlights of the show. This was a sick event and thanks to all who helped make it happen....I guess a rematch is in order, we gotta give you guys a chance to earn back some of the newly converted Gaspari fans!
