Not that I wouldn't love to circle jerk argue about keeper options for another 3 pages but with registration possibly opening as early as next week, should we go ahead and make sure stats, roster spots, playoff scheduling, maximum/minimum innings for pitchers, trade deadline, waiver wire time, possible live draft times, etc. are all ironed out?
Yes...
I just wanna say I hope we limit the moves to 5 per week and have the draft the last week of March.
Waiver wire time is usually 2 days.
Trade deadline, a week or 2 before playoffs.
8 playoff spots, no bye weeks.
Minimum innings... would prefer between 20-25 to make people use all thier pitchers.
Just suggestions

If it ends in a tie we'll have to figure some other way to decide this.

or people in option A can change their vote. We can eliminate the one that's obviously not going to win (option A) and everyone votes again.
This way works the best, so people on the losing team have a chance at getting their second option.
-
i dont know about you, but whenever someone says they're doing something to avoid something else at all costs, that's generally the main reason.
Now all of a sudden you don't care which 3 if it ends in a tie? lol come on man....
Just laugh at the irony of this and move on brah.
Edit:
If you're so fine with it I'm changing my vote to keep any 5 now.
So here's the new voting:
Keep any 5 - Votes 4 (Pro_Shark) (Nodice123) (NYY) (bbacn123)
Keep 6 : Must be split (2 hitter, 2 pitcher, 1 h/b then 1 FA keeper) - Votes 4 (Max~Power, Exist 2 Inspire, Jyeatbvg, Texas Heat)
Keep 5: 2 from rounds 1-4, 2 from rounds 5-10, 1 from 10+ - Votes 3 (Chill Will 33, saaltydog, 89Foxbody)
Thats fine brah, do what you want to do. Like I said, at this point I don't care what we do, I just want the season to start.
Whatever wins, we are all on the same playing field.

I'm up for 6 playoff spots. can be done like the NFL does it, with top 2 getting a bye. I feel like 8 is too many and 4 is too few. I'd prefer 4 to 8 though. Over half the teams should not be in the playoffs IMO.
Waiver wire can just be default yahoo. It think it's like 2 or 3 days.
Draft, anything from mid-march on works.
Trade deadline: anywhere between mid- to end of August is cool with me
dont really care about max innings. If we dont want to set one thats cool, if we do thats cool too. I have no preference there. Min. innings should at least be 13 IP IMO. that's roughly 2 starts I imagine.

Looks good.
What about a utility position for the people who only DH, like Thome and Vlad.
or making it RF,CF,LF instead of all OF.

this looks good to me, and as for time/date for draft i think most people tend to be home sunday eve, so i'd say do it on a Sunday after 6pm CST
so...we doing keep any 5? I'm cool with that

I agree with this. Maybe if enough people want a utility slot that's fine too. I'm good either way though.
edit: Sunday night works for me if that's what we are aiming for.

Sunday night is good for draft.
I can live with keep any 5.
Lineup looks good.
-
Honestly I think we should go with keep 6 option. It's the best compromise between A and C since there was such a split in votes. It's not restricted by rounds but it's not as free as keep any.
If anyone has a huge deal with making it this way then let me know and we can try to alter it for a more appropriate compromise.

how bout this, as you can see we all will pretty much go with the flow, so you being the manager of this here leauge, just set all the rules and roster spots and we'll be good to go.
i think draft time/date is only real thing we should all get a vote on.

I think it may be too many Pitchers. If we have 14 teams we can start 8 pitchers that's 112 pitchers everyday. I don't think we need 8 pitchers going every night. I would like to see

Well we haven't nailed down specific stats yet but are we considering having Holds? I know a lot of people last season didn't care for Holds, but I think they give value to middle relievers who you'd otherwise probably not have on your team.
-
I like having holds, just another category that forces you to be competitive and stay active, because that's a whole category you could miss out on every week if you don't have any middle relievers.
But I do think that's probably too many pitchers. If we've got 3 P spots instead of 4 it still gives you room in the lineup for 3 starters and 4 relievers without thinning out the talent pool as much.
-

yeah I assumed we were having holds when I made this outline. 112 pitchers is not that much.
Top 3 starters off each MLB team = 90 pitchers
Top 2 bullpen guys off each MLB team = 60 pitchers
That's 150 pitchers. Maybe we can knock off 1 pitcher spot but I think knocking off two of them is too many.
-

How about we knock one of them off and make the other P a RP since we are probably going to have holds. I think starting 4 starting pitchers a night is more then enough.

I would like holds. I think it ads a nice dynamic to the league. However I don't think we need that many regular pitching spots.

That's fine. We'll knock off a spot.

Yeah I'd think we'd want to get through a little bit of spring training anyway before we draft.

LATE ONE SUNDAY NIGHT (not sure what sunday, but make it late)
And did any 5 keepers win? If so I'm gravy with that...
I will put my input in on the stats/Rosters if anything jumps out at me
EDIT: I will be repping everyone who voted on the keeper option thing, I think it was the only way we were going to get it settled...

I think the keep 6 option is what we're doing. The poll was so split, I just kinda felt like the keep 6 option was the best compromise between them all. It's not too restricted like the rounds but it's not too open like pick any 5.
If that's not cool we can try to work something else out. I want to make sure everyone is ok with this.
Edit:
That's what you voted for anyway so im assuming you're ok with it
