brown rice vs wild rice
How come everyone eats brown rice? I've eaten wild rice out of habit for years, and considered switching to brown rice, but wild rice seems to have it beaten in terms of macros, with twice the protein and twice the fiber. Is the micronutrient content superior in some way?

You answered your own question. Wild rice is better.
People tend to stick with what the hear most about. Like quina and wild rice are far better than brown.
And ezekial bread is far better than whole wheat bread
Etc.
Regardless. All are very healthy. Just some a tad bit more than others.

It stems from the pre-conceived notion that brown rice is superior to all other rice. In reality it is no better or worse then others, plus it taste terrible. If you enjoy wild rice then by all means keep eating it, no reason to switch based on nutrition.

First of all, not everyone eats brown rice; plenty of people eat other carbs - it's down to personal preference. But brown rice is much more prominent in shops than wild rice.. So that's probably why you hear about it more than wild rice.

No, it's not any better. You see people eating brown rice either because they like it or they believe that they will get some sort of metabolic advantage from eating it rather than white rice. It's often seen as a "clean" food whereas white rice has been deemed "dirty" by the muscle mags. In the end, it makes no difference whether you want to eat wild rice, brown rice, white rice, etc. Hit your macros, get sufficient micros, and eat what you enjoy.

Differences between various forms of rice are there, but you are way, way more likely to have 10x bigger issues somewhere else in your nutrition or training if you think it makes the darndest bit of difference. :D
As it stands I'm not too familiar with Wild rice, but it does appear based on evidence that simple White rice is superior to Brown rice if we get down to the nitty gritty, but I don't think it will reach practically relevant numbers.

Hate brown rice, have eaten white rice for years, has worked great.
Brown rice is chewy and had an undesirable texture to it. Basmati is my favorite.

^this
maybe even some quinoa or orzo, but this rice thing has got to go

Considering its cost and shelf life, I'll go with white rice.

I've tried Wild Rice and (personal perference) it tastes horrible. They look like dead bugs smashed together. However, in terms of nutrients, they are jam packed with nutrients! 15g of protein per serving is insane!
Personally, I prefer brown rice!
Wild rice is $7.88/lb and Brown rice is $1.88/lb (for reference) at my local grocery store (Winco Foods)

Less Carbs per serving
My guess is that there is less carbs per serving in brown than wild so you eat the same amount feel just as full but intake less calories. I believe it is cheaper most of the time as well.

Mix it up and eat both if you enjoy them.
I love making a chicken wild rice soup.
