The Supplement Pyramid concept
Below is a link explaining an old concept I do believe was started way back when by Will Brink and published in Bill Phillips' supplement review;

Cliffs
-It goes over how and when to use AND WHEN NOT TO USE specific supplements based on your level
-4 levels on the supplementation pyramid
-the base starts with the basics (food, macros, a multi, etc.) and increases in complexity as your experience and needs grow
There are 3 pages in the link. There is a "next" button at the bottom of the page to continue reading the article.
I have been aware of this pyramid for a loong time now and just wanted to share with those of you looking at buying supps in relation to where you are with your training, and not have you waste your money.
Too much marketting, too much hype, and lots of confusion out there.
I do not agree with all the supps (glutamine in particular) mentioned nor their level (whey protein is food imo) but the article does a good jub of sorting the wheat from the chaff.
Have at 'er. :)
