Working out with Pectus Excavatum
I have a minor case of PE. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pectus_excavatum
My question is will training cause any permanent damage. Will it make the pecs deformed? I'm going for a catscan withing the month to see if I'm eligible for the nuss procedure, because the doctor's aren't sure if they want to perform it because it's a moderate-mild case.
If I do bench, and work the chest will it cause muscle mass to build awkwardly and irreversibly abnormal. Because if I'm eligible for the surgery I'm going to get it. I'll upload pics when I get the chance.
The main problem I have with it is that I can never look skinny because my pecs stick out above my waistline because the sternum is pushed in, so I always look chubby even though I have a BMI of 23 and know I'm thin. 6' 170 lbs
So should I work out while I still can, or wait til after the surgery, and if I work out now will it deform them to make them not look normal and never be able to tone normally? And if I can't get the surgery will building my pecs make it more noticeable?
Thanks in advanced
