Catabolic state and morning protein
Hi people
New to the forum so a big hello.
Ive been reading about proteins recently and have just read a brief bit about catabolic states in the morning. From what I understand when you are sleeping your body is repairing itself. During your sleep your body may burn muscle instead of fat therefore drinking/eating protein when you wake up is a good idea. Is a catabolic state basically the opposite of anabolic?
Ive also read that eating protein in the morning is better than carbs as the energy from protein lasts for a longer drawn out period than carbs and it is good for wieght loss as it gives you a more full feeling...
