There's nothing wrong with saturated fat. Artificial trans is the one to worry about.

Well obviously consuming excess saturated fats than what you're supposed to will make you gain fat.
Plus there's loads of health problems related to consuming too much saturated fat.
My general outlook was that you just should avoid saturated fats to help burn fat quicker.

Saturated fats are not bad, and consuming fat doesn't make you gain body fat; excess calories do.

Like anything else, its all about moderation and avoiding hydrogenated fats and other trans fats; to make it simple think about it this way.
If its artificial its bad for you, if its natural its good; but in moderation.

Negative ghost rider. Excess calories will make you gain fat, not a specific macronutrient. Read the nutrition sticky, you can learn a lot from them.
fat doesnt make you fat
carbs doesnt make you fat
eating more than you should is what makes you fat.
