I went to my local CVS and then Walgreens and both places said there was currently a recall on bronkaid. Does anyone know anything about this and weather its permenant? If so then what is the next best option for ephedrine?

Interesting.
Primatene or generic version (Walgreens should have one) will work just as well.
Pharmacist told me she didnt think it was permanent, but may be months before it comes out.
She also said that they didnt give her much, if any, info on whether it was permanent or not. Only that it was a labeling issue.
Yea the i asked them why as well and they had little to no info to share. But thanks for the primatene suggestion. Just looked it up and it looks like the same ingredients. Ill try and grab some today.
bulk ephedrine > all
where can u buy bulk ephedrine? Is it possible in US? ive been going with bronkaid whenever ever i needed it for a long time now
It's not permanent. It is already back in stock at my local stores after I was turned away last week because of recall.

Powercage don't you live in Oregon like me, isn't there like some high regulation of this stuff over here?
Bumping this thread because I also just got back from Walgreens. Found out there is a Bronkaid recall. I bought the Walgreens Primatine generic. I notice the generic is E HCL where Bronkaid is Sulfate. It is half the dose though so I'll to take 2 of them. Luckily it's also half the guafinesin.
It's nothing serious.

Bayer neglected to include some warning label. There is nothing wrong with the pills themselves. And it's a voluntary recall.
An online drugstore has 20% off all medicine. Primatene included. $8.79/box
This happened last year, stores across the board were cleared out for a couple of months. I think they stop manufacturing them for a while for some reason. I wonder if this recall is true?

This
Even a month later my local cvs/walgreens still haven't been able to sell me any bronkaid. They only sell primatene even though they have boxes of bronkaid. Any bro's out their get any luck around Boca/Broward?
Is it regulated by state?
I just bought 600 tablets of 8mg ephedrine hcl online. The ban on ephedrine is for dietary supplements, not on respiratory medicine. Its 100% legal in all states to buy ephedrine, as long as its not marketed as a dietary supplement.

None will ship it to Mississippi and you can't buy it in a drug store without a script

what's wrong with primatene ?
what's wrong with primatene ?
thats what I want to know. Bronkaid is ephedrine sulfate too, while primatene (which CVS makes an even cheaper generic for) is ephedrine HCL. Doesnt get much better then price and quality there, CVS generic primatene all day everyday.
Try again that have it at the local pharmacies in my area. Does anyone find hcl to be a little more potent than sulfate?

Same actives, different sized ions --> sulphate is larger than chloride.
So yes, primatene will elicit the desired effects at a smaller dose.

Ephedrine HCl also has improved kinetics via the common ion effect in the gastric environment, at least by neuron's musings.

indeed
good ol' neuron.... the ephedrine crusher
This chit is pissing me off. How long does it take to print the new labels and ship them out? Its out everywhere here (Central Florida)

Haha. Yeah. HCL >>>>
Made me nauseous the first time using actually.
I also went to two CVS stores and they had boxes of Bronkaid but couldn't sell them to me because of the recall. I bought Primatene (well actually the CVS brand..=same ingredients as primatene)...took two tablets..and I don't know..I keep reading its stronger than Bronkaid..but for me was opposite.. with Bronkaid I sweat a lot..and when Im doing cardio my heart rate is high.. with Primatene.. I dont sweat and I have to kill my self during cardio to put my heart rate up.

You are taking with caffeine, right?
Regardless, you don't have to "feel" anything on EC stack to ensure it's working. It's only an aid to your diet.
Yes with caffeine. And yes i know i dont need to feel anything..but seems odd since many say primatene is stronger..

25mg HCl = 25mg HCl. It's not stronger and one doesn't work better than the other.
25mg HCl = 25mg HCl. It's not stronger and one doesn't work better than the other.
No it is generally considered stronger and it kicks in harder...read the posts above. Also they don't contain 25 mg ephedrine. HCL has like 20.5 mg ephedrine and 4.5 mg hydrochloride iirc and sulfate has like 19.2 mg ephedrine and 5.8 mg sulfur. But its even more than that...hcl is supposed to work better and there is some **** about molecular weight. Here's a few good pages on the topic: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=7235561&p=128547221&viewfull=1#post128547221 http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=2685041&p=42010601&viewfull=1#post42010601 http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=115624601&p=316598531#post316598531
Problem is even cvs generic hcl version costs like 2x as much as bronkaid. I just use hcl before my workouts and then take sulfate at all other times for money saving reasons
