Whole grain pasta is pennies more than white pasta. So go for the whole grain if you can. It's not gonna make a HUGE difference, but little differences do add up.
i rather have whole wheat cause it fills you with just a bit, compare to white pasta. I am still cutting and yes i eat whole wheat pasta. It just all about portion control

this, amybe make it a meal 1-2 hours before so you have some carbs preworkout.
this^^^^ on a cut you want to take in most of your carbs pre and post workout
