Does Nair for Men work?
I just bought Nair for Men yesterday to remove some unwanted body hair. It was on sale for $5 so I figured what the heck, why not try it out? But then I started reading some horror stories about people getting bad reactions to that. So, I decided to do what the instructions say by doing a TEST area first. So, I applied a small amount on the bottom part of my underarm just to see how it works. I left it on for 3-5 minutes as instructed and no hair came off. It was weird. After I wiped it off, it had that infamous bad odor, but the hair was still there. Anyways, it’s about 20 hours since I last applied it and my skin in that area is perfectly fine. No redness, irritation or rash.
But what I find weird is why it didn’t remove any hair. Maybe I didn’t put enough and/or didn’t leave it on long enough. I would try again but I’m getting very scared that I may react to it. I know I didn’t react to it yet, but you never know.
Did I do something wrong? Should I try another test tonight at a different spot?

I tried it for the first time last week for my show and it worked perfectly, way better then using a razor. Just rub it in first then kinda tap it in all over the area you want, make sure it is even. I waited maybe 3-5 mins like you and it worked great!

Be careful with that stuff, buddy of mine used it once and he left it on for about 7-8 minutes because he said the hair wouldn't come off unless he left it on that long. He ended up with some terrible irritation and break outs. haha It looked like he had the chicken pox that weekend when we were surfing.

you have to put it on very thick... use a lot.
i leave it on for about 8 minutes and have never had any problems. i use it on under arms, pubes, crack, and inner thighs.

... it's crap! Just shave or wax.

One thing to do is buy those little tiny round bandaids and put them over your nipples, that **** will murder them! First time i used it i got a little on there and i was in pain for like a week everytime i wore a shirt.
Also had a buddy who used it on his balls once, he said his sac was basically a huge scab for awhile, so be careful there also lol...

Works great as long as it's not on too long otherwise you'll feel a burning sensation on the area.

Dude!! you must have the skin of a rhino. There is no way in hell I would put a chemical that burns the hair of my body that close to my package, and by package I mean dick.

I used it and it works. Whatever it says is the max time to leave it on didn't work for me. I tried it for the max time + 5 minutes and then the hair would come off. The only thing keeping me from using it is that smell, and having to sit still for that long.

it works but heed that warning to not use it on your genitals...I made that mistake two years ago

Darn! Looks like I may have to discard the Nair after I spend $5 on it. It's not worth the risk.
There has to be some way to remove some body hair. I hate shaving because it's irritating. Usually shaving the first time isn't so bad, but after shaving every few days, my skin irritates because it needs time to heal after I shave. So to shave an unhealed skin every few days will just cause a lot of bleeding and irritation. Not to mention that my hair grows back so fast. I can try epilators or waxing, but those are painful. Laser hair removal is out of the question due to the expense and the fact that it's permanent.
But unfortunately, it iooks like shaving is my only option.

It works great, but it needs to be applied thickly as stated above. I leave it on for about 7 minutes and have it wiped off then take a shower.

i've used it probably 80 times over the passed 5 years and never had a problem. the only issue i had was when i tried my chest... it didn't work well and i tried to shave it right afterwards... worst razor burn ever.
edit* most people make the mistake of rubbing it in similar to lotion... that will mess you up. you have to gently slab it on in thick globs and not rub it at all.

i use the womens nair in the pink bottle, but i leave it on 5-8mins make sure you use alot and then take a hot shower it comes off like butter but if it doesnt, dry yourself off and do a repeat maybe 3-4 mins than hop back in and i guarantee it will all come off.

That's the only place I have used it. Never had a problem. Then again, I have killed my share of bears with only my hands.

Veet works way better than nair, atleast for me it did, and it doesn't smell anywhere near as horrible :) Used it on entire back/shoulders/arms

I leave it on for 8-10mins. I have used Hair for men in both spray and gel/foam stuff.
Works best if hair is short. Might want to use some clippers first if hair is really long. They make a sensitive version to but its not label for men specially. Works well also.
You won't know how your skin reacts untill you try it. Everyone is different. I would try 3 mins for the first time. My hair is grizzly adams thick so I have to leave it on for the longer durations.
