What should of creatine should I buy?
Creatine monohydrate. Plain and simple. No need for any fancy designer creatines. It is proven to work. It is cheap. The typical 200 serving tub will last for will last for at least 3 months.
What exactly does creatine do?
*Provides extra energy for your muscles
*Causes volumization of muscles (just increases the size)
*Reduces lactic acid build up
*Increases protein synthesis
What are the side effects of taking creatine?
There is a possibility of bloating. This, however is temporary and you don't need to worry about it. There have also been anecdotal stories of muscle cramping and dehydration. If you are worried about this, drink an extra litre of water or so, on top of the 4 litres + you should be drinking.
How much creatine should I take each day?
3g - 5g on workout days is plenty.
Do I need to load?
No. Loading is probably not needed. However, creatine is cheap. If you want to load to gain any possible benefits of loading then it is fine to do so. Make sure to increase your water intake if you are concerned about dehydration etc.
Should I cycle creatine?
It is not known whether it is beneficial or not to cycle long term. Once again I would do so if you are concerned. I'd advise for every month you use creatine, take 2 weeks off, minimum.
Will it cause testicle shrinkage?
No.
I am considering using CEE (creatine ethyl ester) or krealkalyn. Do they work?

Quick note:
In my experience, I have never experienced any side effects from creatine supplementation. None of the people who use it who I know have either.
Only consider using creatine when you have a proper diet. You must eat enough calories, protein, carbs and fat a day to gain muscle. If you don't, your body will have nothing to build muscle with. Supplements aid the process but if the process is not happening, they aid nothing and are wasted. GET A DIET.
Anything I should add/edit/take away?
oh thank god someone finally posted something like this.
sick of hearing all the praise sizeon gets

So.. you don't get more strength? Only increase in size, improved recovery time and "extra energy for your muscles"?
Wait.. What does that even mean?

This will finally clear up all these "Is Dat DeRE CeLL TeCh HaRDCOre too HArdcore for me?" Threads. Good post.

Is creatine legal in highschool sports?
I heared something about it being illegal in college ( just heared about it, not stating as a fact) so i was wondering about highschool.
Would there be and age limit to how old you should be to start taking this.
Im 14 and gaining some extra mass without having to all out bulk would not hurt.
But i wanna be safe.

It is safe, but if I were you I'd wait until I was at least 16. It is definitly legal in highschool, they don't even have drug tests there...
And if you are looking to gain extra mass, why does your signature say you are looking to lose 20 pounds?
-
Thanks or the reply
I am trying to lose weight-fat.
I just meant it would'nt hurt for me to get some more muscle mass
I got a big frame and I want to take advantage of it.
Not tryin to be stubborn but what is the reasoning behind saying I should not take creatine untill I am 16?

Well due to the lactic acid buffering, you can perform an extra rep or two. I don't consider that strength gain because that depends on your opinion of what strength is. I said that it reduces lactic acid acid build up, which it does and that is simply a fact.
By just "increases the size", I was explaining what this meant: "Causes volumization of muscles".
Extra energy as in the extra ATP which is produced due to the increase in creatine in the body. Technically it isn't energy but there isn't any point making a simple FAQ complicated. If you wish to more just read here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adenosine_triphosphate
I made this thread to explain creatine in a simple and straight forward way and lay out the facts. People should make their own opinion on creatine.

Awesome. I wasn't meaning to diss your FAQ or anything, although it may have sounded like it. I was just wondering.. Thanks for answering!

No worries. It was probably better to clarify anything like that.

i would be amazed if it were not legal anywhere. its a naturally occurring substance formed of 3 different amino acids (i believe) and there is nothing dangerous about it. at 14 you probably dont really need it since youre going through puberty but it wouldnt hurt, it would only help.

Might want to note that, despite what some coaches or teachers may say, it is not and never has been banned by the NCAA.

Whey and creatine monohydrate. No Xplode is really just an overpriced caffeine product. It gets such good reviews because mostly beginners use it and they have never had 300mg of caffeine before and think it's amazing. If you want energy, buy caffeine pills. If you want size, whey and creatine.

Can you put in something about insulin spiking/dextrose?
Can you put in something about insulin spiking/dextrose?
I left that kind of stuff out because there are arguments for and against its benefits. I just made a quick, concise FAQ.
Also, the link I provided that paddy suggested covers this.
can you take whey protein and creatine at the same time?
Yes. They are unrelated supplements.
-
thanks dude and I have another question sry lol. Is it better to take creatine pre or post workout?
Any time of the day. However some feel it is necessary to do so post workout.

Dehydration caused by creatine is a myth.
Dehydration caused by creatine is a myth.
I believe so but many don't. This is why I said, if you feel it is necessary, increase your water intake.
