You're not going to like looking for a job
SRS gjdm
most people find a steady decent income job and learn to hate their lives for the rest of their days because they arent contributing or doing what they love
philosophers improve life more than any lawyer yet get paid an 1/8th they do
society tells u to get a full time job for ok money, raise kids, teach them to do the same. and people wonder why there are so many depressed people in this country
Thx man, I think so as well. I know my mother was very against it, but I can't help it. I just love doing it.
What will you do in Grad school? Because you will absolutely have to do something else after you graduate.
I don't know yet, my sister is working in the largest anti quariat in our city. Perhaps I'll look for a job there.
You're not going to like looking for a job
Perhaps, time will tell. Maybe I will get lucky, who knows, I don't plan on that though.
Why?
Shut up fat man (Stewie Griffin voice).
why did you choose to spend money to study philosophy in university if you could get the same education for free at your local library?

Why did you choose to spend money at the gym if you could get the same training outside if you used your imagination?

$480 for a year vs $40000 for a year?
strong comparison.
$480 for a year vs $40000 for a year?

It's not about the money comparison, you missed my point. I'm 100% sure you can get in better shape and a lot easier if you workout in a gym, but you can get in beast shape if you use both.
It's same with studying, sure you can go study alone in library, but who will tell you if you understood the content correctly? Who will you discuss it with? It's a lot easier if you have someone to guide you and discuss with you, than being all alone and trying to figure out stuff by yourself.
what is what?
what is what?
Let me rephrase it. What is that which is?
interesting question, have no clue

what is correct? is it what the professors tell you, or is it what you've learned and determined by yourself?
and i'm sure there is a vast internet community to discuss what you've read and learned by yourself available for free on the internet.
You're not going to like looking for a job
he's gonna be just fine. all my friends who graduated with sociology, global studies, and chicano studies have full time jobs.

Correct is what you learn by yourself with the help of others, it is hard to find something that applies to everyone. A professor is there to help you with any questions and point you in the right direction.
I'm also sure there is, but if it was the same situation for the gym. Would you rather discuss routines with Arnold? Who knows a lot but can't tell you exactly what will work for you. Or random people on the internet?
Can you explain Kant's categorical imperative to me? I saw it mentioned earlier today and I tried reading explanations but I am still confused. Only do things that are good enough to be laws for the universe? What does that mean?
Valid or Invalid:
P-> (Q -> ( ( (R + S) v (T v U) ) v ( ( R v U ) + (T v S) ) ) U ->( (R + Q) v (P + ~R) ) Q // R v S

I'd love to, but I don't know enough about it to explain it to you, Kant was a genius and his work is hard to understand, I don't want to give you false information. Sorry, also the most stuff i know about a certain philosopher is Descartes, because so far we mostly focused on him in most subjects.
Why does the pot call the kettle black?
Is the glass half full or half empty?
Why does the question burn?

Ok, thanks anyways. Btw I think philosophy is a fine degree, I don't think you'll have trouble finding a job later on.

I'm not familiar with this, perhaps we use different kind of symbols.

Why does the pot call the kettle black? It has no choice, his actions are predetermined.
Which glass?
Questions make us face the things we don't want to face. And they stay inside our soul and eat it, because questions are mysterious creatures which possess the power to obtain one's soul and forever doom him. Question also has fire on its wheels, therefore it burns when it wanders all over our entity.
Is more less?
Is less more?
I think the answer to that question is, yes. And its more or less true.
