Look at it this way. Blame it on the government. It is Because of unfair tax laws, imposed by our socialist government. Corporations are now being forced to find any and all addtl profits by any means. So they open to gain an advantage and post more sales, to make up for our tax structure.
Dont you people see it? Its obamas fault..
:D
Kinda srs tho

I think stores being open on Thanksgiving is a total disservice of families. Not only are employees disrespected, but so are shoppers who should be at home instead of looking for a $1 Blue Ray Movie. I don't care your politics, religions, sexuality whatever, FAMILY is the most important thing. Breaking it up to go stand in line and save a buck is f*cking retarded and disrespectful.

How better to drive those who can least afford it....further into debt.

My wife had to work today and I don't feel like I should have been required to stay at home...so I hit the gym for an epic 2 hr chest workout. Afterwards I hit Wally World and grabbed some milk, bread and a copy of Expendables2 on sale for $12.99. Now I don't have to go near a store tomorrow. Going to replace the struts in my suv and then hit the gym again.

Exactly! I HATE those reports of increased sales on this, that and the other. Never any mention of how these folks with no raises and increased gasoline costs (for example) are paying for all this crap. To me the real winners on these shopping weekends are Visa and Mastercard!

I feel ya, it just sux that anything is open on T Day. I understand food and gas stations are open, but the way it's going, we won't even get the day off in a few years.
When I lived in Germany, nothing was open after 6 except gas stations and bars. At first it was annoying as phuck, especially on weeks that I worked late shift on the assembly line. But after a while I cam to see it was a pretty cool thing and that my perception was that European family units were tighter in general than American ones, due in part to things like that.
As for you changing your own struts.... Impressed.

I was in Munich Germany on easter back in 06 and everything except the buses was shut down. The Autogrills on the Autobahn were open so at least we had some place to eat...easter dinner was a couple of roadside panini's:D

This should always be one of the few days where we can all kick back. I did some light food shopping after the gym, all those stores were closing by 1 PM. Did some shopping at Modells this morning... in and out, no crowds or hassles, even got a rock star parking spot.
