tuff stuff squat rack
I have been shopping around lately for a nice squat rack, I went to a local store and found a tuff stuff squat rack, Im not sure what model number it is, it is white, it had 4 adjustable bar holsters, a flat pull up bar. It was paired with a a tuff stuff bench that was turquoise in color. They wanted 599 for the rack, and 199 for the bench with add on leg attachment and precher pad. Any idea's on what model this might be and do you think it is worth the money?
thanks

The one im looking at is a little older than that one I think, must be a previous model

Not sure of the model number but I hear its a good set. I ended up with the newer model which is made overseas now. The older set was apparentely made in the USA and from what I hear is very well made. Good luck.

Here are a few views of the older TPR-265. I believe that it was orignally available in white and then later in gray. The Tuff Stuff equipment that I have seen has been of excellent quality but you will pay a premium for that quality.

This is the one, only mine does not have the lat attachment, is this rack worth the 599 price?
-
Yes it is! The Powertec rack is $500 and the Tuff Stuff rack beats the hell out of it.

I agree. Not to knock Powertec but for the extra $100, I'd go for Tuff Stuff.
BTW, they used to have dip handles for the TPR-265. Not sure if they're still available though.

I still think the 599 price is a little high, since by the looks of it I could get it new for that. I am going to have to try and get the price down a little, but I think I will be picking this up this week.

Well, you didn't say if it was used or not. So, is it used or brand new? If it was used than definetly try to lower it. I would pay $400 if it was used for that rack.

I have this exact same rack. It is bad-ass. Thats pretty much all I can say about it. It has numerous hooks and it allows you to put the bar almost anywhere on it. Mine also has the Lat pulldown attachment but instead of being plate loaded, I have to manually put weights on it which I dont really mind doing. I purchased mine in Colorado off of Craiglists for $350. I got the rack, a tuff stuff bench, 380 lbs of Olympic weight, a barbell, an EZ curl bar, a weight tree, and 3 attachments for the pulley system. The man I bought it from was in the process of moving and I think I got a steal. I would definately suggest picking up this cage if you havent done so yet. I have been looking for the optional Dip attachment (TDA-29) and I am having absolutely no luck. If anyone can help me with this I would be greatly appreciative.
