BB vs DB
I think this is one of the great controverses in bodybuilding and strength gains. I need to know which one i need to fouces on for size. And if you know the weight and reps i should do that would be cool as well in tryin to get that Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger chest.
Stats:
Bp:225x10
Incline:175x7:(
Decline:225x15:)
Weight:185-190
O and a big ass head.

Go to the naughty corner and think about what you just said.

My arms always fatigue early with dumbbells.
Can control the contraction of my chest / general movement more with barbell bench press

I can go havy on BB , DB using stibilizing muscle so is harder. He could switch ( 2 weeks of BB then go to DB )
He could use what ever he like. Im using DB for mass. I don't say that he can't use it.

Why u so angry? Born ugly? try again

I'm going to go build my pecs up with BB bench press then shape them doing DB flies and cable movements. Maybe I'll throw on a blindfold too to cause muscle confusion.

You said that db can work on "shape" of a muscle. this is incorrect as shape is genetic.

Lol Shape? What an idiot you are
And OP DB builds more chest mass then BB but barbell generally builds more strength
Lol Shape? What an idiot you are

Yea well spidey told me he talked to a guy at the gym and barbell builds more mass. So it must be true.
In reality, chest, like any other muscle, needs its ass kicked many different ways.
You need barbell incline, flat, and decline.
And dumbbell incline, flat, and decline
As well as flies/flys however the hell you spell it for incline, flat, and decline as well.
Plus if you do it this way you can cut a large part out of your shoulder day due to the compund you will be getting.
Incorrect, barbell builds more mass. The huge guy at the gym told me and he has results to show.
I said chest mass
BB builds more overall mass
and just cause one guy said something doesn't mean it's true
-
I said chest mass

Ronnie coleman does dumbells but I guess his results arent all that great.
my opinion is just switch it up dont get used to either ;)

In my experience, DB is significantly better. It uses more stabilizing muscles, you don't need a spotter (if you aren't retarded), and you can still get great results from it. I've also never plateau'd with DB Bench, but have with BB Bench in the past.
Currently DB Benching two 110lb DBs 4x6ish.

No no no...
BB = Strength&Mass
DB = Mass&Shape
IMO your at a pretty good point to focus on dumbbells if muscular hypertrophy is your goal.

Lulz. Before I neg, humour me to make me not do so: explain to me why I've gained strength doing DB Bench when it only does mass and shape. And why I hit a strength plateau with BB when it supposedly does strength and mass.
