If you want a pump/all the other purported benefits of arginine, go with its metabolite: Agmatine.

Arginine is part of the NO cycle. It's an amino acid. However, new scientific research indicates that Arginine does not raise Arginine levels & promote Nitric Oxide as well as Citrulline.

However, Arginine in a formula w/Citrulline & other vasodilation ingredients can add value in certain formulas IMO. It is part of the NO cycle & it does absorb in the body. I've taken products w/Arginine in them & they have promoted pumps.

With that said I would not buy straight L-Arginine powder & take for lifting. It's a formula type of ingredient & it doesn't take much. Research indicates that several grams of Arginine show no benefits on strength & is not an ergogenic aide. However, in a formula is where this ingredient shows promise & I don't think it needs to be dosed in grams. This is more of in the milligrams w/ingredients like Citrulline or Citrulline Malate & Nitrates etc.
