Yes it's hydrogenated vegetable oil is a synthetic TFA.
They are allowed to round on the label and say each serving has 0 grams. Just like anything with 5 calories or less can say "zero calories".
yeah trans fats are fine as long as your not in a major caloric surplus. Saturated fat is the one you really should watch
yeah trans fats are fine as long as your not in a major caloric surplus. Saturated fat is the one you really should watch
You're red for a reason. Pls go.
To be a bit more precise:
Partially Hydrogenated oil is synthetic transfat.
Fully Hydrogenated oil is not transfat.
If the label only says "Hydrogenated" without the "fully" or "partially", there's a good chance it's "partially". And, as noted, they are allowed to round down the transfat per serving.

That's extremely wrong.
yeah trans fats are fine as long as your not in a major caloric surplus. Saturated fat is the one you really should watch
There are two interpretations:
1) You're trolling.
2) You're dreadfully misinformed.
To be a bit more precise:
Partially Hydrogenated oil is synthetic transfat.
Fully Hydrogenated oil is not transfat.
ah Ok
For argument sake if the oils were fully hydrogenated would that be bad? because they would be pretty much synthetic saturated fats right?

he is right if it is natural transfat - found in dairy, beef, and pork
as for synthetic transfat it is not fine.

Strong study ninja.
These results suggest that a reduction in consumption of fried foods will be of benefit as it will reduce intake saturated fatty acids. Further studies are recommended to determine the intake of trans fatty acids and their health effects on other population groups in Indonesia.
what wonderpug said to you...
Pretty sure he said it to you. Was that really the best you could do? A study concluding that more studies are needed and one that think sat fats are evil?
You could always post some more rat studies champ. LoL please stop wasting our time with your BS

once again i say though, do not discredit rat studies, unless you are willing to donate your organs for in vivo, or in vitro post mortem studies.
Came in thread expecting synthetic, was not dissapointed.

The title of the study you linked to is: "Higher Trans Fat Levels in Blood Associated With Elevated Risk of Heart Disease."
What are you trying to prove and to whom? Since you posted it in a response to Xfaxtor, I'm assuming it's in response to something he said. Are you under the impression that he claimed something about trans fat that he didn't?
Just wow. Pug quoted you regarding reading comprehension and you attribute it to others. Point proven
I think what synthetic was trying to say was "What WonderPug said to me, I say to you." He just needs to work on his delivery a bit.
