How Do YOU Cheat?
After a week of "clean cutting" and working out hard, I decided to take a break and indulge myself with a cheat meal. The contents are as follows: 1 burger with everything, two large servings of fries, 3 slices of pizza, 1 chicken quesadilla, a bowl of cereal, a bowl of tomato pasta, 1 chicken breast, 2 glasses of chocolate milk, and 2 cookies. And 1 multivitamin to keep things healthy..
Whats the best ever cheat meal you'v ever had? And how often do you take it?
-
Too bad there's no way for that to be a normal daily diet while still losing weight...
-
I don't cheat. It *always* backfires. If I COULD cheat, I'd eat the biggest oatmeal raisin cinnamon cookie you've ever seen, chase it with a tall glass of chocolate milk, then eat Panda Express clean out of Orange Chicken.
-
I don't need to cheat because I eat the foods I like every day in moderation.

I cheat meal per week with a dessert. My cheat meal is aimed at pleasing my palate as opposed to targeting macro goals.

This is me as well.
I 'cheat' from time to time, but it fits my macros so it's not really cheating right?
-
I eat things I like on a daily basis so I don't feel the need to cheat or binge from extended self deprivation.
-
Cheat meals are stupid and pointless, if your gonna eat junk fit it around your macro's, if you cut for 1 week, and you cheat, you probably gained it all back, and that WHOLE entire week of eating "CLEAN" <-- whatever that means, has gone to waste.

No. Just no.
If you eat at a 500 deficit 6 days a week, & a 1000 surplus once, you will still lose weight.

Nope.
I prefer to eat "clean, bro foods" such as fish, eggs, meat, veggies, potatoes etc because of satiety purposes. If I were to try to fit ice cream and cereal into my macros, I would be hungry as hell later.
OP, every few weeks I like to slam down a couple pints of Ben & Jerry's :D

check ur math bro,
500x6 = -3000
but a 1000 cal surplus of 'junk' is extra fatty so really its like at least 9000
so you're at +6000, which equals
fat fat fat fat fat

This pretty much sums it up. I can kind of see the appeal of eating 'clean' for most of the week and then having a huge cheat meal, but I don't think it would work for me. Surely it is better having a sensible-sized piece of chocolate (or icecream, pizza, Poptart etc. etc) with dinner every single day than having an enormous binge-fest and feeling sick afterwards?

this could not only lead to an ED, but is no way to live
I don't want lifting/dieting to inhibit my life bra

Last time I checked 1000 calories is a 1000 calories, regardless of type of food.
-
Every sunday I give myself an extra 1000 calories (when cutting). It makes it easier for me to fit things into my diet that I wouldnt normally be able to fit. For example, tomorrow I'm going to be having an entire pint of icecream and a pizza, as well as 1000 calories of other food.
If I go out with somebody I'll try to fit my meal into my diet, but on those rare social occasions i try not to be a nazi.

That's ~2,000-2,800 calories depending on the flavors, which I think he was suggesting is excessive. I agree.
To answer the OP, like many others in this thread, I don't cheat. I built a sustainable diet in which I incorporate foods I enjoy into my daily macros.

Not judging you. Some people here set up such restrictive diets that they take entire cheat days and may pass the 10k mark.

It would actually take 6 pints to reach my TDEE. adding those 2 pints to my normal diet would only be a 2k surplus.
If anybody passes up the 10k mark then they probably have an ED.

This.
As long as I get my daily dose of chocolate and peanut butter... I'm happy.

A fry up every other morning, 9 squares of dark a day & a whole Tesco Basics Toffee Swirl Cheesecake every Sunday.
