Pre workout no effect?
Hi i bought c4 and the label says start at 1 scoop. I have never taken any pres before and i dont drink coffee at all.
So i took one scoop(the scoop is kinda small) and it had no effect whatsoever but i kinda had energy at the end of my workout. Not over the top kind of energy but enough to do the lifts.
What should i do? Take 2 scoops ?
-
You're 17 and should not be wasting money let alone taking that type of stuff.
-
One scoop does nothing for me and I'm a small guy (142pounds). 2 usually does the job for me and u have to take it at least 20 minutes before workout.

I am aware but i got a competition in a week (my first ever) and i would love to be energetic rather than nervous and tired.
And i get gassy after almost every meal which is a pain in the ass and so not good before lifting.

Might want to look into the foods you eat then...
Sounds like it may be an intolerance to a certain food, like lactose or eggs for example.
-
Definitely 17. You have a lifting comp in a week and you are training on an empty stomach and think a pre workout will replace that somehow. No chance, eat and watch your performance in the gym improve.

You're a week out from competing and haven't figured out how you feel best training?

They don't mean a large meal. A pre-workout snack with protein and carbs for energy should be sufficient.
1/2 cup of cottage cheese with fresh fruit, almond butter on celery, 1-2 tbsp of peanut butter and an apple. Things like that.
Eat 30-60 minutes before your workout, and at the gym begin your session with a proper warm-up. You can do a full-body dynamic warm-up, a combination of bodyweight and mobility drills with foam rolling, and always end with a CNS activation movement like squat jumps or clapping push-ups.
Once you learn how to eat and energize your body naturally, pre-workouts become a waste of money.

Today i had a scoop of whey+water at 1:30pm but felt uncomfortable at 2 pm took c4 as i was warming up at 4:10 and felt fine but didnt feel any pump/energy/buzz or tingly feeling like some people said they felt at first.
But good thing is i have a really good people at the club who hype each other which is very motivating.
Will try to have some fresh fruit and some protein hope that does the job.

I have a banana or 2 oranges before I workout, best PWO in the world IMO, and if I'm fresh out of fruit, I'll go buy a bag of skittles or something.
I also do cardio sometime's before working out, I think it's a mentality thing, I'm all sweaty and ready to go, I usually have tons of energy after a 20minute cardio session.

Unfortunately im the complete opposite
:(
Last week all my workouts suffered.my legs just run out of energy after 30 minutes of heavy cleans/squats.i tried full stomach/empty stomach/protein based snacks nothing worked but in todays workout i didnt feel that maybe because of c4 but im not sure as i didnt feel the effect of stims.
Im either going to try 2 scoops tomorrow or the fruit thing.
-
But the only thing i surely enjoyed about c4 was the taste of the pink lemonade flavor. I wanted to have another drink after i finished the workout just because of the taste xD. So good
-
What kind of comp are you doing?
C4 is only a mild pre anyway if youve still got energy at the end of your session what else do you want?

Just as an FYI. Drinking coffee doesn't seem to exhibit the same ergogenic benefits as supplementing with caffeine, likely due to other compounds found it coffee that may counteract the caffeine.

Olympic weightlifting.
I was hoping for something like extreme energy/motivation maybe?
I dont know first time on a pre workout so dont rly know how they are supposed to feel like.
But all the reviews kinda hyped it up.

Not cool bro.

I feel like you're trolling OP.
You say in response to everything that you can't have it or it does nothing. You keep going back to talkinh about C4. Obviously you're fishing for answers that you want to hear.

You mainly said you were going to try C4 again and how much you love it.
The fruit was a "or" thing

you had enough energy to do your lifts?...op cmon meow....the only thing in a pre workout that you will "feel something" from is the caffeine...you will not "feel" the creatine or any of the other stuff in it...maybe tingles from the beta alanine...alot of ingredients in there are to increase or help performance over long periods of use...you shouldnt be relying on an energy boost from caffeine in order to do your lifting...just sayin....one scopp would be fine...if you are looking for something to really feel and gain energy from just buy plain and simple cheap caffeine tablets...even then i wouldnt suggest building up a dependance on caffeine.
