x2, large gap between age forums, Teen has.... a lot of... 14.. year olds? 135lb, etc, i find very little researched advice and questions a lot of the time. Individuals whom are more experienced would rather a more reliable source, and the next forum closer is 35+.. leaving those of a mature ( or more educated suc has college/university students 18-27ish ) with no specific forum.
Where does one ask their peers about a college/university dietary questions without youngens telling us what there mom feeds them? Just my 2 cents.

A College forum actualy might prove to be very useful! There are a lot of employees here who take Kinseiology classes at Boise State University... You never know... I will pass it on... :)
im a kinesiology major, i agree reps
yeah i too believe this would be very bentifical
word. I was thinking about this the other day. When I was a teen the teen forum was pretty entertaining. Now, well... I don't know because I haven't been in there, but if it's as asinine as it was back when I was a teen then there is a definite need for a slightly older section.
good idea!
My name is mikecart1, and I support this thread.
dude this has been beatin to death!!! i really dont know why mods or whoever will not make this happen.. I doubt they even read this section..
It is actullay frustrating! we really do need a workout section for 20+ ......
im a kinesiology major, i agree reps
I'm a 3rd year kin major too in Canada.
I would LOVE a college forum!!
Outside of teen and 35+ isn't ever single subforum here for college aged? Workout journals exercises nutrition ect.

i know, there needs to be a college section...
****ing make a god damn college forumn so mother****ers like us can talk about our gay ass professors and how there abunch of ****ing bitches and hos
k thx bui.
(seriously though please make one) and delete teen section.
it would actually benefit some people im sure, specially if more than one person has the same major
Agreed. This would be nice.
throw in my agreements
College students all have similar problems that people of other ages don't really have to face (limited nutrition, partying, alcohol, etc)
I'll sign this petition... very good idea, actually. College threads die easily in the misc. since so many people post there and there aren't always people that can relate and respond to your threads. This way we can ask questions relating to homework, career, partying, or anything related to college.
Just make it another subforum of the misc., or whatever. If people respond, keep it. If they don't, can it. I think it'd do well.
bumpin it!

I like the direction buy what about a '20s' forum or something. The idea is great, just not the name, its more of a life-issues forum. hmm... *brainstorms*
college forum is great....our lives entail some unique challenges and may provide help to others that are trying to get/stay healthy in college
i think it would be benificial to everyone to help seperate us college students from everyone else. UNITE!!!!!!!

What purpose would creating this divide serve? I foresee this forum causing many problems/e-fights/bans/etc... If we made a college forum we'd end up having to create a high/middle/postgrad school forum too :/.
Signed. Im a cognitive science major.
I think a college forum is a great idea. As a college kid, it would be nice to talk with fellow college students.
marketing major...I agree. yea i dont think they read this forum too much

It wouldn't need to get more granular, but making it age-based rather than situation (those members, in their 20's, who are not in college would needlessly be excluded by a "college" thread). There's a different set of life issues to deal with as a young adult that, like a poster above said, won't be solved by "my mom makes this" or "fifteen years ago when I was where you are" posts.
And, the teen section covers the high/middle schoolers, while the postgrads could be members of the 20-somethings forum.
We need a section for 20-35 year-olds... don't care how's it called...

Signed, we need this
would be a great Idea. college presents unique challenges in getting proper nutrition, sleep, rest, and finding time to workout.
How come no mods or webmasters have come in here and helped us out? :(

I know they've set up a forum for personal trainers, but the mods or webmasters are discriminating US! lol
good idea. I will rep the first mod to make a college section.

There's not even a place we could make a sub-forum type thread where it wouldn't be 'invaded' by the <20's and >35s....not that I'm hating or anything :D
I'm in. Love the idea.
same.. great idea.
The teen section is getting out of hand.
A college forum would be great :)

It wouldn't turn into the Misc. section where anything goes, so hopefully, the e-fights/problems/bans, etc. wouldn't take place.
We'd make rules like to use of the phrases "hai guise", "SEA", "PIITB", "(no homo)" - and stuff like that :)

Why don't we just create a 'Serious Discussion' forum? That will solve _all_ the problems our college-level-sudo-intellectual posters will face when venturing into the misc! And it won't exclude anyone!
It isn't as if you guys want to create a college forum to talk about college-matters but a general chat for college-level peops that have serious matters to discuss.
Edit: Am I against the idea entirely, no. Do I think it needs refinement, yes :)
Somone needs to PM the mods like Skip, Layne, bignbuff, someone would/will eventually hear us out if enough of us bother them or voice our opinion!
Somone needs to PM the mods like Skip, Layne, bignbuff, someone would/will eventually hear us out if enough of us bother them or voice our opinion!
Ahh if anyone is considering this, hold it off until the idea is atleast refined. If you pm a mod with a link to a thread or a single liner, they'll most likely delete it without hesitation. Just imagine how much **** mods have to sort through a day. So lets refine the idea, such as changing it to a 'Serious' discussion instead.
I agree with this thread!
(Yes, I am 17... and am full time in college)
double post
