Yes.
Just out of curiosity, what would make you think it might not be ok to consume dietary fat with any meal?

Probably because martin talks vaguely about higher carbs/lower fats on WO days and the opposite on rest days. It seems OP just needs to read emma's sticky and learn about macros.

True. Martin's posts are misunderstood, he just means increase carbs on workout days, and the only place to subtract from is the fat. Low fat on workout day doesn't mean cut it out, it just means adjust the portioning.

oh i'm not disparaging Martin, it just takes a shred of basic nutritional info to apply some of his stuff.

Sorry, I didn't mean to quote you or imply you were bringing down Martin haha
I hope you're eating that IMMEDIATELY PWO.
Anything ingested later than 1hr, should contain minimal fats and slow digesting carbs. Keep proteins moderate at no more than 30g otherwise you're wasting them.
im a bro.
Keep proteins moderate at no more than 30g otherwise you're wasting them.
Huh.. I didn't know that one.
So what does a normal PWO meal look like for you guys?
I work out in the mornings at my work gym. We have a work Cafe, so I tend to only have Breakfast choices available and end up getting Egg's oatmeal, omelets type of foods.
What about you?

Come on dude.
Come on dude.
There is some truth to his second claim. More than 20g of protein, at least in the immediate post-workout period, will not stimulate MPS any further in young individuals.

OP, Leangains diet PW, like said above, is just saying adjust your macros accordingly. meaning after a workout, your meal should have the same amount of protein as your normal PW meal, with extra carbs to recover and since your taking in more energy in the form of carbs, take away a bit on the fat macro. but NEVER take out fat. fat is misunderstood quite often as the bad guy, but its just as important as protien and carbs.
ITT anyone notice the irony

So, where exactly did you read this?
So, where exactly did you read this?
Read? I don't read to build my knowledge base. I heard it directly from the man, Chris Aceto, himself.

Cavemen used to always stay away from fat after a days work due to the slow digestion. Bro 101

What does that have to do with it?

The same guy who advocates glutamine + sugar? The same Chris Aceto that believes there are advantages to eating more frequent meals? The same guy who pushes casein prior to bed for a slow digestion of AA's to prevent catabolism?
The same person who suggests taking leucine before and after workouts? The same guy who tells you to avoid white rice because of insulin bursts? The Chris Aceto that says to never eat carbs before bed?
That bro?

Yes that's the bro. What evidnce do you need to believe something? Guy has trained 100's of top athletes so I do put some confidence in his statements.

Science. It is not a philosophical debate, it is physiological. Believing in glutamine+sugar will not make it advantageous to body building.
Yes he may have trained dozens of athletes, it doesn't mean what he did was necessary to achieve those results.

Will you ever get it through your head that I have more knowledge and experience in my left fingernail than you have in your entire body? Why do you act this way. I have achieved what I have with ****ty genetics and no drugs, using only basic supplements and scientifically designed training methods.
Stop being ignorant and ONLY BELIEVING LAB COAT studies. Mt GOD, be creative and truly intelligent and PERFORM YOUR OWN STUDIES. Do it on yourself first and then maybe some others. I work with bodybuilders and athletes ALL OVER THE WORLD using my methods and supplements I know work, and my success rate is outstanding. That is why I HAVE clients from all over the world!
I am not saying this to be arrogant or even to sell product. Buy as many protein as you want, but stop trying to tell ME what works when you obviously have no clue and only some Pub Med studies by your side, which mean jack **** most of the time in the real world.
Dude, I am just trying to help YOU.

Bernie Madoff had clients all over the world too.
Bernie Madoff had clients all over the world too.
Reps on spread.
BicycleRider192, your username is ironic in consideration for your mention of Chris Aceto. Anyway, if you want to believe in Aceto's pitch, then you'll be helping him and the supplement industry at your expense.

Sorry...but let me teach you something that comes with age and experience and wisdom. Those who have paved the way are the ones you should be listening to. I do not take anything personally, especially from 20+ year olds that do nothing but post on boards. You see, I have the respect of my peers in this industry...the top trainers, gurus, nutritionists, and coaches...and do you know why? Because we don't follow...we don't read studies and go "oh I see!"...what we do is create. We create/pioneer/develop the new programs, protocols, methods that innovate the industy...we do not copy them. This is a key factor in what I am trying to get through to you. I AM the scientist. My "studies" include REAL subjects with REAL objectives in REAL time in REAL atmospheres with REAL results that apply to the REAL WORLD. Of course scientific studies done in labs are valuable to us, but they tell about 25% of the story at best. I KNOW what works through 20+ years of arduous and diligent research, which has been planned, documented, and replicated. My track record speaks for itself, and what I try to do with it is make a nice living for myself, of course, improve my own physique of course, but also to GIVE BACK TO THE INDUSTRY I LOVE AND OWE A GREAT LIFE TO.
One day you may understand. But it is ok if you do not. 100s of thousands do, and they are the ones I need be concerned with...although of course I wish you the best
