Thanks
No worries.
I honestly see no lat stimulation during those pulldowns whatsoever. Notice the 'gain momentum' rep at the start of each set?
lol at MD trying to make the Branch Warren videos extra hardcore by not adding commentary, interview, etc... * Facepalm *
All i have to say is that he trains like a retard (honestly) and the regulars know i'm a huge Warren fan but it is what it is... Crappy form, swinging, no control of the negative portion of the movement, no squeeze, etc.
No wonder his back is behind some of his other bodyparts...
I think they might have changed the filming style so they can use the footage in that new reality show about Metroflex.
But yes I totally agree he trains like a spastic.
Thanks for posting. I think Branch has done an amazing job of bringing up his back. Can't wait to see it at the Arnold. I am guessing it will be the thickest back on stage!
I would rather watch perfect form before training back:

One thing i noticed, for example Jay Cutler trains back in a similar way than Branch. Alot of swinging and jerking, alot of momentum, etc. And he has a pretty weak back as well.
EDIT: Major facepalm at Warren's deadlifts... lol
I don't care how a dude trains I just enjoy seeing the footage. Was a great video.
Watching Branch doing deadlifts still gives me nightmares to this day..............
He gets it done and it works for him. Would have a few tears if that were me. Looks massive though

That's such an ignorant statement!

Dat form...

What do you mean? How is this an ignorant statement. His form works for him does it not? I think most people in this thread have complained about his form and ROM. I wasn't even having a dig mate.

The whole "It works for him", "It works for me" needs to go. There's an optimal way of doing things which clearly it's not the way he does things (at least the lifting part) and if his back is not up to pair with all his other bodyparts with the exception of his arms, then off course it's not working for him as implied.
Dat form...
Dat head bobbing. You'd think he was doing it to some electronic beat.
Please someone tell me those were rows...
Watching Branch reminds me of those guys at the gym who curse and shout a lot and throw heavy-ass weight around with horrible form, then just drop the weights or toss them aside while trying to maintain as "hard" a face as possible. Probably some of those guys see videos like this and consider it an endorsement of their training style.

You can really see why people were so doubtful when he claimed he tore his quad slipping on ice.
Wow, MD need to use that camera man/photographer all the time.
Top quality video. From the shot composition to the light balancing.
Awesome.
PS. Branch's rowdeadlifts boggle the mind.

x2 on the photography
I thought Branch was just doing bent-over rows?

Yeah, it is.
There is no DL here :3
Those t-bar rows were pretty nuts. He makes Ronnie's 12 plate rows look like good, strict form.

What is optimal for one is not for another. He has one of the thickest backs in the sport. Any short fallings is gentetic, not due to using incorrect form imo.
Yeah, it is.

Its normally called pendlay rows when done from the ground.

Agree 100%. He is the poster boy for gym meatheads through out the world.

The only difference being the meatheads you refer to usually look like sh*t and barely ever improve.
Theres a couple at my gym who look like clowns when they train but if they were bigger and looked better than me i honestly wouldnt moan. As it happens they look awful so i slag em off all the time : D
As for Branch i think he looks sick and trains very hard. Im a big fan.

Yeah but i bet that a Phil Heath with Branch genetics wouldn't go as far as Branch went in the sport. Branch is a Warrior and if he does all these forced reps is because he need it.
