100lbs last time I checked.
Lol at all the frauds with poverty delts and narrow shoulders claiming 185lbs ITT, strong planet fitness weights and frauds, guarantee you half you guys couldn't even do 132lbs with good form for 1 rep. Also how come everybody ITT posting is so short? Brb narrow shoulders, brb stocky, still claiming high numbers, get a grip *******s. I can guarantee 90% of misc, or at 85% at least do not hit 1x BW to OHP ratio. If it was easy like that Top Strongmen would be OHPing 600-700lbs like it was nothing. I can push-press 150 easily too, but this thread is about OHPs, not ego lifting so most of you *******s can phuck off with your e-statting. I can deadlift 4 plates yet my OHP is so low, unless you are squatting 4-5 plates and deadlifting 5-6 there is no way you can OHP your BW or above unless you got extremely short arms or something.
Shut the **** up you *******. I can do 215 OHP clean. Why the **** are you so mad?
best was 145 for a single. core was a bit shaky. what do i do to fix this?

135 5x5 ...
Stooped working out for 1 month and last night couldent lift 135 for 1 rep feelsbadman
155lbs x 1
see sig.
I've never tried a 1RM for OHP, but I've done 55kg for 10 reps, which equates to about 73kg 1RM.
I usually do OHP toward the end of a full body workout so I think I could easily do 75kg for 1 rep if I did it fresh.
That's about 165lb. For the record I weigh about 185lb now, my stats are outdated.
I've just started a cut which will finish at 170lb so hopefully a couple of months into my next bulk I'll be at the 1x bodyweight OHP mark.
I've been lifting properly for just over a year now
edit: will test and possibly get a vid. My 75kg prediction was for during my bulk, I doubt I could do it right now due to cutting but will give it a go.
misc never fails to estat. post videos goobers
IME, a person's max standing OHP (with zero push) is about 1/2 his max flat bench. Do you guys agree?

Lol is that what I said strawman? Like its so difficult to record one set of OHP out of all of your training. goober please

Nah I think ripetoe said about 2/3s (.666). Thats about right for me 185lbs bench press and 115lb press for 4 which is about 120 for one rep.

Actually it's stupid for me to do it.
Only carry one phone, it's my music player, so I'd have to take out headphones for lift.
If that chitty gym music penetrates my alpha male brain temple during workout.... kryptonite.
140x1 both in straight barbell and trap bar shoulder press.
I actually kinda like that trap bar shoulder press better.
Never maxed out. 185x5 when I was on DAT dere dreamer bulk powerlifting mode. So about 235 lbs chunkified. Its the only big lift I never maxed because my back did not feel stable at that high of weight. I felt I could keep a more neutral spine maxing out deads than ohp lol. My ultimate goal would be a 2 plate OHP.
2 plate OHP
3 plate bench
4 plate squat
5 plate deads
Those were my goals when I started lifting. Might not seem like chit for some but pretty lofty for 110 lb kid who got beat in arm wrestling by girls.
