Can't name anything specific, but try searching for Cod Liver Oil-it's very common. You can usually find it at places like Walgreen's, etc.

Pharmaceutical Grade Fish Oil Can Change Your Life!
OmegaRx Pharmaceutical-Grade Fish Oil has a high concentration of long-chain Omega-3 fatty acids and it is highly refined and pure. It contains 1,000 times less PCB's than most health food grade fish oil.
What is Pharmaceutical-grade Fish Oil?
Pharmaceutical-grade fish oil starts with thermally fractionated health-food fish oil that is then distilled by highly complex refining technology into fractions rich in long-chain omega-3 fatty acids that are exceptionally low in the long-chain monoenes (that cause gastric distress) and pollutants such as PCB's and oxidized and polymerized lipids.
The individual fractions are then combined to provide the most appropriate balance of EPA and DHA for the finished oil. The typical one-gram capsule of pharmaceutical-grade fish oil will have at least 600 mg. of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids. This may not seem a major concentration improvement compared to the health-food grade fish oils, however, the increase in the purity of the oil is why it costs nearly twice as much. This purity is also reflected in a dramatically improved taste profile.
Only pharmaceutical-grade fish oils enable you to consume the required daily intake of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids needed to alter eicosanoid synthesis without gastric distress or fear of accumulation of environmental pollutants.
Note: Vitamin E is often included in fish oils as a preservative. At low levels, approximately 5 I.U./gram of fish oil, it is protective. At higher levels, such as 20 I.U./gram of fish oil, it can actually speed up the oxidative process.
OmegaRx pharmaceutical-grade fish oil contains a minimum of 60% of long-chain omega-3 fatty acids (although it routinely reaches 75%) with 5 I.U. of Vitamin E per gram of fish oil. The only way you can determine that a fish oil is truly pharmaceutical-grade is to look for the OmegaRx brand imprinted on every capsule.
thanks guys, i'll look into to those (OmegaRx is kinda pricy though)...i just rather take a tablespoon of oil instead of taking 12+ capsules each day (don't worry I also try to eat salmon once a day too).
Since some brands state where their oil is coming from on their ingredients list, does anybody know what source is the best for these oils: cod, salmon, sardines, etc.? Or should only the EPA/DHA content per serving matter? thanks again.
beleive that cod liver oil has too much A, and as one might guess tastes AWFUL

This is why my father would use it as a punishment for me when I was little. After a couple of times, all he had to do was get a spoon out and walk towards the fridge and I'd stop what I was doing.
:D
Now I take fish oil caps...would never touch the liquid form though.
so, you would rather drink fish oil, than pop a few capsules... have you ever ever smelled fish oil?

high quality fish oils shouldnt smell or taste fishy, same way fish at the supermarket shouldnt smell like it either. Both nordic naturals and barleans make great fish oils. They do not taste like fish at all, just like any other oil with a slight taste of citrus

sounds gross but actually taste pretty good.
Also look into Coromega.
I read that if you eat a lot of fish than taking fish oil has a minimal effect. So if you don't want to take it in pill or capsule form why not just eat fish?

Carlson and Nordic Naturals make good liquid fish oil. It doesn't taste too bad either.

I have gone through a couple bottle of the Nordic Naturals stuff, it doesn't taste bad at all.
Just curious....why would you want to take a "non capsule" form of fish oil?
You love fish taste?
Just saying...

I see this all the time. Lots of people can't take the typical large softgel because of swallowing issues.

Yeah, its a mental thing I think. Kinda odd, but I see it almost daily. Although usually its middle age and older women. No offense OP :p
Go with Nordic Naturals great quality and tastes fine like citrus. Also I have heard you should eat sardines because the have almost no mercury. The bigger the fish the more mercury.

you guys all just went for a 6-7 year old thread.
Barleans Fish and Cod Liver Oils are excellent liquid forms, with a lot more DHA/EPA per serving, especially when you factor cost.
