They will make you look like a crazed killer because you are carrying such a "powerful" hand gun. Be prepared to defend yourself against using an "excessively" powerful handgun. You better have a good reason as to why you feel the need to shoot people with something as large as a 10mm.
In Arizona v. harold Fish, a hiker was attacked by a man with a long history of extreme, unprovoked violence who was screaming "Ill kill you!" The defendant shot him with a 10mm Kimber pistol loaded with Federal jacketed hollowpoints. He was convicted of manslaughter. One juror told the television reporters that the prosecutor's emphasis on Fish using such a powerful gun with hollowpoint bullets designed only to kill had been a major influence in her vote of guilty.
"they" talk a lot don't they? This theory gets over played, show me an actual case where this has happened.

I could care less what you carry, but I am going to carry what the local police carry. Why make it harder to defend yourself in court, I do everything I can to make it easy to justify what I carry.

Either its justified or it nots, There is no in between. And the Caliber is not gonna get you convicted, How do you sleep at night bro? You worry way too much, I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 any day of the week! Also the local police now a days are seen more as killers with a badge than they ever have been! Especially by the liberals!

I understand your position and have read Ayoob, but what is irking people is the way that you act like if you use a 10mm you're automatically going to have some kind of problem in court.
Is it a possibility? Sure. Is it likely to have any impact on what goes down? Most likely not.
Here in Florida you could use a .460 Weatherby and it wouldnt matter, as long as it was a "good" shoot, you are fine.
I carry .38 and .45acp pistols. Im not worried about a jury civil or otherwise. Im worried about taking the crackhead out before he takes me out, should it ever come to it.
Seems to me the emphasis in the Ayoob case was more on the "hollow points that are only designed to kill" than the caliber itself. For the average person a 10mm is only 1mm bigger than a 9mm.

just call it 1cm and everyone will think its less of a man stopper than a .22 :D

I use my suppressed 9mm SBR AR for home defense. It's the best option I have and I could give a fuk what a half wit prosecutor(that's what he would be if used that strategy as an offense) would say. Me hearing is more important.

When it comes to a CCW Holder using his gun in self defense, It's either Justified or Un-Justified. A 10MM hold no significance over a 357 Magnum which a whole lot of people carry now a days! And if i do end up shooting someone in self defense i'm going to use the most versatile round to get the job done, Dead men tell no lies!

Same here. Thankfully this state is a "defense is righteous" state. Unthankfully, they use the bible for every damn thing and I'm not a real religious man.
On a good shoot so far they have given me a lot of latitude. The law is still in my favor and I have no worries whatsoever in that department.
