Probably don't have to cook it, Refridgerate it. If you do cook it I'd probably only cook it for about 10min at 350 or something like that. Maybe even microwave it for a minute or two, just enough to cook the egg whites.
You're not going to get much protein out of these bars without protein powder, but your best bet would be to use what jrsonico mentioned. I would personally add my own variety of nuts though, almonds, for example, work great. I would put them in a toaster oven, or regular oven, whatever works. When cooking, temperature doesn't mean much, but I'd say set it at 350 and check every now and than to see if its bonded together nicely. Cut, and eat.

This website has a decent recipe. The only thing that I don't like about natural protein bars is that they contain peanut butter for protein. Its one of the few proteins that will last and that is moldable. With this one it gives a good ratio for adding whey to the bars to increase the protein intake and it even gives the nutrition facts.
