high volume means more sets and reps then low volume

so on my 4 day split i absolutly smash the muscle group so it has 7 days to recover

you could smash the muscle group with low volume and heavier weights too. high volume just means your doing more sets, like 15 sets per muscle group would be pretty high volume
refers to number of sets and reps. But more specifically total sets.
