I was reading this article:

It scared me because it mentions hydrolyzed protein as being a health hazard.
How hydrolyzed protein is a form of MSG which is a excitotoxin.
I use Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey which boasts about its Hydrolyzed Protein right on top of the lid.
I'm scared about this -can someone provide some more info regarding this?

I'll PM in10city and get back to you on this. But I think the general consensus was either it was false or that the amount is so minuscule that the health risks are irrelevent--unless you are severely allergic to MSG.

Yeah... different things... Glutamate is commonly found in protein containing foods any how. Also keep in mind that the the amount of WPH in ON's is small in comparison and the percentage of it being a precursor makes it even a smaller amount.

ok thanks for the info. - So in your opinion, hydrolyzed protein is safe?
And what about regular protein powders that don't mention Hydrolyzed? Would those be better?

makes me sick to the point that I puke even at small doses. For example, I love the ingredient profile for IntrAbolic but makes me sick when I drink it during a workout.
