It will provide you with the extra calories you need to build muscle. It's only by eating too many of these calories that you will gain fat.
It's not the quality its the [B]quantity[/B]
It's cals in versus cals out. Too many cals = fat. What is too many depends on your exercise routine and how your body partitions calories.
Nothing wrong with peanut butter after school. I suspect you could also use some carbs and protein at that time. Peanut butter, banana, and a small piece of chicken would be good.

it depends on what you usually eat. if you are in the end of your meal and you have already eaten a lot of fat then it should not be a major problem. if you eat a lot after some training, yeah, it is not so good

You need a near zero sugar or all natural peanut butter to give you monounsaturated fats that most importantly keep your testosterone levels elevated.

Peanut butter is a GREAT food, and most people who are serious about working out will tell you the same thing. It's like anything else, you eat too much (calories in), and don't excercise enough or are active enough (calories out), you will retain the calories as fat.
