The "Pump" feeling and muscle fatigue
I know this is the wrong section but i need help and maybe a trainer can help me......
First a little back story I've went for a active lifestyle to doing absolutely nothing since high school (about 4 or 5 years) I was never in shape because i loved food and hated cardio but active and avid lifter well now I'm tired of doing nothing and im trying to get in shape
I know im starting from square one because its been so long since I lifted but my problem is every time I try to start a routine I hit the same problem, I've tried 3x this month
During my workout I never try to lift more then I can safely do and feel great during it never try to play thru the pain taking it real slow until I get use to it again afterwards I get the "pump" feeling I can feel my muscles sticking out and feel hard and I get that feeling maybe I actually worked hard today 90% of the time the feel is in my arms .....well three days later and the feeling is still there and to the point its starting to feel sore now and while I can move my arm pretty freely, bending from the elbow past 90° like trying to touch my hand to my chest or shoulder is an actual struggle and the feeling is somewhere between bad muscle fatigue and extreme stiffness and it takes about a week to go away fully well it's making it impossible to stick with a routine because I have to be able to bend at the elbow to lift yet here I am barely able to drink or eat and while its extremely uncomfortable and sore it's not really painful if that makes since......am I still pushing myself to hard I feel great during my workouts I never feel like im intentionally putting myself in danger ? Am I not stretching well enough before and after workouts? Has it been so long that they need to build up that much over again? I just wanna correct this so it doesn't seem feel like I'm starting from zero every week
