The lower forearm IOW the palms down side (does that makes sense) gets hit indirectly with deadlifts and chins, but what about the top of the forearm (brachioradialis)?

both exercises you listed are good for that area. If you do reverse curls, focus on keeping your wrists straight/turned up (extended). If you let your wrist drop while doing the reverse curl, you'll focus on the underside of your forearms more.

Why not do both?
Reverse BB curls will hit biceps abd brachio while reverse wrist curls will isolate it.
up to you brah.
Of course you realize you can incorporate a reverse wrist curl movement, as you perform the lifting motion of the reverse barbell curl, for an increased & more intense contraction on the brachialis -- especially at the top.
That's not my idea. I read it from the pros that do it. And it works for me as well. But feel free to neg me anyway, and argue about it. This forum is such a disappointment.

WTF are you babbling about?
If you dislike it so much, go away. I doubt you'll be missed. I have even engaged you since you've joined and you are annoying as hell to see you post your nonsensical crap.
The biggest thing is you seem to talk a big game w/ your posts, but merely have some crap you wrote in your signature to back it up. I honestly don't care, but if you had a single picture or a video of your lifts that would shut others up, I bet things would be a lot different.
For the record, I want to neg you just for your pissing and moaning right now. Not whether you echo a "pro tip" or not.
Right now, given your amazingly red state and abrasive attitude w/ no details, you seem almost like a troll. I could not care any less whether you actually are or not.

And you? You're 26 y/o, 177 lbs, with nearly 30 thousand posts, and a back that looks like exactly what I'd expect to see on the first guy I'd run into if I went down to the swimming pool right now. You take pride in being an "A$$hole". And then there's your "contributions" to the forum. Fantastic, priceless tidbits of knowledge... that you're just totally, firmly sure are correct. Even though it's the most asinine stuff I've ever read in realm of sports & fitness. Well, almost.
Anyway I used to live in Lorton, VA. I clearly remember the general "A$$hole" attitude of the people around that area. So I can pretty well imagine the type.
So what do you want? A bodybuilding competition, right here via internet? Put on our posing suits, oil up, and see who has the better pics? Is that why I came to this forum? No I came here to ask about using an inversion table. But I vastly over-estimated the community, now didn't I.
I never liked the sig, either. It was intended to be inspirational. But I do come off as a braggart, because you have to have arrogance, confidence, and an alpha-male mentality. And try as I might, it shines through no matter what. If I didn't hold back so much, I'd show you the definition of "A$$hole", but the difference between you and me, is maturity.

Hammer curls with a tricep bar work for me. Reverse curls will help also with 4-5 second pauses (you don't need heavy weight with reverse curls, IMO).
hammers will work indirectly, but sit on a bench and put your wrists on your knees. Raise a 45lb olympic bar with wiehgt if you can. IMO best forearm workout.
Almost didn't click on this thread. Sounded kind of boring. I was wrong.

Clearly.

Go ahead and post a couple of pics of yourself and shut that guy up. Certainly a bodybuilder of your stature has dozens of current pics to choose from and post. I'm actually surprised you don't have an avatar.
Everyone just needs to clam down guys...
Clam down

Good tip Chaz. Sometimes we miss the miss simple things.
I find there are two parts to the top of the forearm. The actual outside part when holding your elbow at a 90deg angle, hand perpendicular like doing a hammer curl, and the real top, which is the smaller muscle that goes into the bicep.
Wrist curls will work for that outside area. for the top part, I do a workout that is similar to a curl, but with a twist.
Hold a dumbbell at a 45 deg angle, hand facing down. Bring the weight up and try to tuck the inner part of the dumbbell into your shoulder (same side). You're going to focus on pinching your bicep and forearm together.
Hard to describe, but try it and mess with the angles till you feel it hit that area.
Of course, there's this thread too

Chazzy usually beats me to it.
OP, an alternative to these 2 are fat gripz. I've heard amazing things about them, and Dave Tate recommends them.

except use weight, not wiehgt.
(ease up on the bong hits)
