6 grams of protein in one egg.
about 3 grams for the egg white and 3 grams for the egg yolk BUT the egg yolk has 5 grams of fat in it while the egg white has 0 grams of fat.
It's good fat, and most of the nutrients are in the yolk. I eat 3 whole eggs a day.
katma201 is right, It's good fat, and most of the nutrients are in the yolk. I always eat whole eggs, normally 2 or 3 a day.

i'm confused, i used to think there were 6grams in one egg then i looked at this.http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/nutrient.php?id=1123 and it says 10 grams and 12 for a whole egg? egg raw fresh
it is NOT good fat.
It IS good fat. An large whole egg has approximately 5.1g of fat. Only 1.6g of that is saturated. The ratio of good to bad fat is excellent considering it is a whole food.
Guys, do you know if you consume 2-3 eggs every day, you will suffer from hypertension?
isnt there an TON of cholesterol in the yolk, too? something on the order of 79% of your RDA of cholesterol (according to whatever the FDA considers an average diet is; like 2,000 calories a day or something.)

That's complete BS - people eat plenty more than that and its the whole diet that counts anyway not just on thing in it.
Cholesterol from food has been proven to not raise your actual blood cholesterol levels. Its all good in the hood. And I dont suffer from hypertension. My bloodpressure is always around 60. (i run a lot). Hypertension is caused by a poorly balanced diet high in solid fats, not eggs.
