Pre or post workout?
Whatever time that is most convenient for you. It doesn't matter.

Is this true even from a muscle recovery standpoint?
Is this true even from a muscle recovery standpoint?
Yes, it's not going to effect that. Firstly, it's only one gram of fat, so in the grand scheme of things, really isn't going to make a huge difference in muscle recoery. Second, it's going to get "used" by the muscle continuously throughout the day regardless of when it's taken. I like to take mine with my multivitamin just because vitamins require fats to be absorbed so I figure it adds, though insignificantly, a bit of fat. But it's totally up to you.
Sorry for slightly hijacking this thread but speaking of fish oil, do any of you know of a brand that doesn't consist of massive, hard to swallow gels? I wouldn't mind taking two smaller pills but the ones I have now are ridiculous.
I myself haven't tried them, but nature made does make a mini tab, 500mg so you have to tale two but they're significantly smaller :)
I take 2 in the morning and 2 at night. I don't really think there is a specific time that is necessarily the "best".
I try and take mine shortly after I eat something, along with a multi-vit.
I like to take 3 in the morning with breakfast/vitamin and 3 at night with my casein.
Do NOT consume it with your pre and post workout meals, especially post workout, fats decline the amount of hormones produced by our bodies around workout time.
I take 4 just before bedtime.

the best time is when you eat fish

I like Carlson liquid fish oil. No real taste except a mild lemon, and even better, no fish burps.
Fish oil is a nutrient, and nutrient timing is irrelevant. I'll let you draw your own conclusion.

Those gummies have nowhere near the amount of EPA/DHA that you want. The minis are a much better solution for you if you do cannot obtain adequate amounts from your food intake.

I recommend liquid... You only have to take a teaspoon and they provide a higher EPA/DHA concentration than the pills or gummies
Yes I'm new. :)
