8 surgeries on right arm between nov 2009 and jan 2012. wrist fused straight and bones removed but back into lifting with special devices etc.
guaranteed amputation in the future (7-10 years depending on degeneration) but all costs covered by gov.
for now, despite pain, feelsgoodman. silently reading the misc helped a lot.
thanksbrahs.
cliffs:
- broken scaphoid playing rugby for unit, surgery immediately.
- 9 days post-op, sent on exercise, breaks again.
- surgery/pins/grafts, 6 weeks post-op cast cut off and sent on ex, breaks again.
- surgery/pins/grafts, 10 weeks later MO cuts cast off and attempts to remove K-wire from bone, breaks bone again.
- repeat
- scaphoid/lunate die, entire proximal row removed.
- 3 tendons snap somehow (2 in thumb, 1 in index finger).
- tendon surgery. IPL tendon graft snapped whilst occupational therapist was doing passive movements. surgeon decides to leave it.
- proximal row carpectomy fails and bones collapse on themselves.
- no more surgical options, surgeon fuses all remaining bones and runs a massive plate through forearm-wrist fusing straight.
- unable to fuse in proper position due to not having all bones.
- right shoulder reconstruction from previous injury becoming unstable.
- miscbrahs unknowingly support throughout.
