you know what u get if u figure this out: (i just did; no cheating!)
Fallacy given:
The given: Assume A=B;
multiply both sides by A;
=>A^2 = AB
Subtract B^2 from both sides;
=>A^2 - B^2 = AB - B^2
Factor out both sides;
=> (A-B)(A+B) = (B(A-B)
Divide both sides by A-B
=> (A+B) = B
Replace A with B because A=B in the given;
=>(B+B)=B
=>2B=B
Divide both sides by B;
2=1.
Why does 2 = 1?
Took me a while..
Cannot divide by zero?
Did not look up. Srs.

The machine I WANT is $2600... So I'm sorta being sensible in that regard
Seriously though, my friend's dad has a machine that he bought in the late 80s, cleans and replaces the seals as required, and uses every single day. Still works perfectly and has likely paid for itself long ago.
What I'm looking at getting
you ever find out what really happened?
Yeah, some kid did a whole bunch of vandalism. He was apparently the initial suspect (for several very good reasons, including basically a classroom of witnesses putting him at the scene, and a history of vandalism!) but when interviewed he said that two other kids and I did it. And then, a couple of days post-my-interrogation, said that one of the other two threatened him with serious bodily harm for ratting us out (I doubt that happened), prompting a warning being issued to all three of us. Eventually, though, he confessed.
The vice principal called me in and gave me the most back-handed, thinly-veiled apology ever, like he was being generous in dropping charges and referrals and something to the effect that if I had kept my nose clean I wouldn't have gotten myself into such a situation. I was like, wtf, but simultaneously relieved that it was over.

so true! Have too many stories like that
LOL that's amazing. and of course it wouldn't be incriminating at all that you tried to alter your fingerprints right before you knew you were about to be fingerprinted, right? lol
I figured it could be incriminating....but not hard evidence because my finger prints wouldn't line up with the ones on the lighter's. Or so I thought. In retrospect, I think I was inspired by Mission Impossible lol...srs.

In retrospect I was Butters from South Park.
Didn't sleep for three nights, didn't tell my parents about it, thought I was going to the big house.
That is so wrong! They're not even supposed to talk to you without your parents present. I had the same exact thing happen to me in high school. CID swore up and down that I knew why they were there for me and kept threatening to take me to jail if I didn't confess to some supposed crime that happened at lunch. Luckily I had a teacher able to vouch for me that I was with her. Turns out, it was actually my sister...she had beat the brakes off this girl in the bathroom hahaha.
