sure, one can a day won't kill u. But from the looks of your avi, you should not be bulking.
Total calories for the day is what will determine weight gain...as long as you consume a surplus. I would prefer something other than Ensure myself...A nice PB + banana sammich can be had for around those calories and it would be much more satisfying.

Your stats say 30 percent BF. Is this correct, and if so are you sure bulking is your goal?
Anything with calories can help you bulk up, of course. It's all just about taking in more calories than you use in a day. I wouldn't rely too heavily on Ensure but a can a day or so would be fine if you're getting most of the rest of your calories from minimally processed foods.
Yea im a little overweight but is there a point to slom down and then bulk?
this has to be a troll

You can do what you want ultimately, but generally speaking...if you have low LBM and higher BF...there is no real need to stay in an unhealthy weight range. Personal opinion, but I say try to keep BF below 20%. Just no need to gain weight if you don't have a lot of muscle and already above a healthy weight. All just generally speaking of course.

You should slim down first before trying to bulk, and while you're slimming please READ THE STICKIES so that you gain a better understanding of nutrition, and how many calories you should be eating, as well as protein & fat.
Based on your first question, you're still completely in the dark about nutrition and fitness.
