how can you make whey in water taste good and still keeping it low carb?
easy , by buying a quality protien powder from a good manufacturer
buy tasty whey!
I buy whey protein isolate chocolate from Costco that is delicious!! 3# for $21 by Quality Formulations Laboratories
100% Natural/Lactose Free/20g per serving
i buy on, dont want to go more expensive then this
lot of people seem to like on in water
i think every protein in water tastes ass
and the vanilla tastes really awfull in water with a lot of aftertaste
i like it in skim milk tough...
hard to believe that most people actually like it in water... but then again, a lot of folkes here are from the us who have a strange taste anyway loool
ps: i have no access to low carb milk
If you're going with water, you don't want the traditional "milk-aimed" flavors like chocolate and strawberry.
Try grapefruit. I've seen some citrus-flavored wheys around.

x2. I used to drink Dymatize green apple flavor in water, it was actually pretty good. Go with a fruit flavor if using water, that's my recommendation.
Use less water and drink it quickly. If you're drinking these pwo, how about throwing it in a blender with a banana.
why're you drinking whey without a carb? Eating it? (I'd rather eat it).
Whey protein is just a crapload cheaper then all other protein.
Anyways, mixing a little PB makes it better. Sometimes I'll mix it in with pancakes in the morning.
@caa5000 - i dont understand most of your post, not sure if you do?
i do use whey, i know its cheaper, thats why
i dont want to use carbs cause i dont eat a lot
pancakes contain carbs
besides, of course i can drink it even if i dislike it, once, twice, a week, a month, but i use 2x50g per day (at least) as my inbetween snacks for xxx time, so it really should taste decent, i grew out of the age where i ate and drink every **** simply cause it is good for my body
Make sludge instead?
Make sludge instead?
The name just reflects the appearance, not the taste ;)
It's whey mixed with a tiny bit of water and usually some PB (to create a 'sludgy' texture). You can either freeze it or add a tsp of baking powder and nuke it to make a 'sludge brownie'.

ok nevermind that sounds reallyyyy good haha
hmmm i wish i could, unfortunatly no access to natural peanut butter (just the stuff with sugar and salt added)
You can always buy a tasteless whey or just mix your 2 scoops in 10-12oz of water so it doesnt taste to watered down.

Exactly. I prefer Optimum Nutrition for this solution.
I use less water, if I need more water, I fill the shaker and drink more water, it also helps with cleaning the shaker afterwards.
Somtimes leaving a shaker can lead to a bad smell.
try
m y p r o t e i n . c o . u k
cheap protein
good taste
good quality
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned this:
Cinnamon. Just a tiny bit, it improves the taste significantly. Obviously it's not a great idea in some flavors, but for the chocolate and vanilla varieties, cinnamon helps alot. Also, as has already been said, the brand DOES make a difference. I like ON 100% Whey. I made the mistake of getting some of that Body Fortress stuff from Wal Mart once. Disgusting!
I find using ice cold water improves the taste.
id go for either , dymatize elite whey protien, gaspari's myofusion or ON's optimum nutrition....ive tasted all 3 and they are all great
I use the GNC double chocolate, and it actually tastes decent with water. In the morning I also mix instant coffee with it and it tastes delicious. You can even add in peanut butter and it tastes like reese's peices. Just a little watered down but meh it works.
