Themselves.
They're lobbying a position from the bubble of delusion.

About once a month I get fed up with having thousands of unread emails and will go through the past 100 or so unsubscribing from their lists. They usually slow for a while, but end up coming back.

Caught about 10 minutes of that new game show with Howie Mandel.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Howie's going on my list of Top 30 Most Annoying People.

That one chick was stacked.
My thoughts on it.....
There is a new game show on NBC called Take It All that I predict cannot last longer than one season. It's based on the classic Christmas gift exchange game where you can either pick a random prize, or take a price from someone else - the goal in the first rounds is to not be the one left holding the least valuable prize. That's all great, but then the last two people get to the final round and it's a prisoner's dilemma game. They can either choose "keep mine" or "take it all" where if both players choose "keep mine" they both keep the prizes they have won up until then, if one person chooses "take it all" and the other doesn't then they take everything, and if they both choose "take it all" then they both get nothing.
The concept works because people in general are stupid - as illustrated by the first episode last night. The woman took it all and gramps went home with nothing. But really this is a game that should never be won. The only way you can ever win anything is if the other person chooses "keep mine" and if they are going to do that, it will always be in your best interest to pick "take it all". And this is what virtually everyone will do. So once audiences realize that no one ever wins anything, they will stop watching and the show will be cancelled.
True. Though I have a difficult time taking women like that seriously. Took one look at her and thought: Bimbo.
I did, however, take a second and third look.

[On the game show, "Wheel of Fish", Phyllis Weaver has just spun the wheel and landed on a red snapper]
Kuni: Ahhh, a red snapper. Mmmmm, very tasty. Okay, Weaver, listen carefully. You can hold on to your red snapper...
or you can go for what's in the box that Hiro-San is bringing down the aisle right now! What's it gonna be?
[Phyllis Weaver has difficulty in choosing as the audience point to the box]
Phyllis Weaver: I'll take the box. The box!
[applause]
Kuni: You took the box? Let's see what's in the box!
[Hiro-san opens the box; the audience gasps. There is a silence]
Kuni: Nothing! Absolutely nothing! STUPID! You're so STU-PIIIIIIIIIIID!

I am, however, a big fan of this global warming stuff. Mid-December and still no snow.

oh good. i hope we can transition seamlessly from our gun control debate to a good ol' fashioned debate between repubs and dems about how to handle the deficit.

You gotta stand for something, TAAB.
You gotta stand for something.
Edit: wasn't actually trying to start a debate. Just stating it's the first I've heard this "unlimited power" thing. Not even sure it's accurate, but if true would be troubling.
2 pieces of Trader Joe's Whole Wheat Tuscan Pane
3 ounces of Kirkland Boneless Ham Steak
1 slice of Finlandia Muenster Cheese
2 cups of Whole Milk
2 scoops of Cytosport Chocolate Whey
Jarrow Formulas MAX DHA Softgels (2)
Edit: And 3.5 servings of sexy.

I'm glad you asked. I made myself a salad at the pay-by-weight salad bar in the cafeteria. A handful of spinach leaves, sprinkle of cheese blend, half a dozen croutons, a couple spoonfuls of a creamy poppy seed dressing, and then enough grilled chicken to bring the weight up to 1.38 lbs. I mixed myself a large Mtn Dew Next fountain drink to wash it all down.
I think today I'm going to go to the Grilled Cheese Sandwich restaurant. I'm thinking pepperjack, pepperoni, and bacon on wheat bread. Maybe a smore donut for dessert if I'm feeling saucy.
What's on your menu for today?

Turkey sangweech on Rye. I wish I had some Rye right now. This political/gun control discussion is like trying to watch a monkey hump a football.

I had the unfortunate opportunity of running into Ben Phelps in '96. He tried mirroring that damn web site on K-State servers. so much traffic that it brought K-State to a halt. I couldn't do my own coursework. In fact, he was forced to shut down his site by the Provost.
In fact, KU and K-State have restraining orders against them.
