What? Biceps = biceps brachii.
If you switch to a pronated grip m. brachioradialis (a muscle in your fore arm) will take over as main elbow flexor. m. brachialis is always active during elbow flexion, does'nt matter what grip you use.

Using a palms down or pronated grip hits the forearm harder..
i thought it works out different heads... i may be wrong..

yes, close grip works both heads equally, wide grip works the short head more (good for the biceps peak).
I'm a huge fan of hammer grip, which increasingly incorporates the forearms. Varying width can target the two different heads of the bicep.

well if thats true its because of the angle your arms are at. if you are doing hammer curls it should work out both
