I'm doing an assignment for school that requires me to look up the cost of medical procedures. I've looked everywhere online, and no one seems to know how much it costs. I was wonder if anyone here knows. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Check with some insurance carriers, they will have all those numbers, as they are the ones who usually pay for it.

When you say "lumbar puncture".........do you mean surgery?
If so.....it really depends on where you get it done, who is doing it and what your insurance is willing to pay for.
As for my surgery to S1/L5............pins, screws, fusion, 4 days/nights in hospital, doc's bill, hospital bill, put you to sleep guy's bill, pharm's bill...........the total bill was $365,904.16.
I payed 20% of that..........glad I had insurance.......lol......to say the least.
I had my surgery at Vandy in TN. six months ago.....

Work for an insurance company ...
In Rhode Island the company I work for pays our contracted docs $199.21 for a lumbar puncture.
That price is for the lumbar puncture only ... putting the needle in and taking out the spinal fluid.

Damn, seems like you could have bought your own doctor for a year or so at that price! Amazing how much medical care costs, at least to me..
Hope you are recovering nicely.
Lumbar Puncture: Guess under the right circumstances, BH would do it for free. :D
Ugh....those ain't fun.
