Pasta; Bad?
So Im reading the "Abs Diet" book I bought and it says eating high carb foods such as pasta can be easily turned into sugar and become bad for you.
Is this true? I used to eat pasta ALL THE TIME for dinner. I know eat it once or twice a weak for my high carb days (dinner). My goal is to lean out, I have lots of lingering fat and look too soft for my liking.
But the pasta I buy is Barilla pasta which is "better" for you. So should I drop pasta? What could I replace it with?

pasta is a great carb source, it's just more carb dense than other foods. as long as you know what you're taking in, it's fine

You could replace it with fiberous veggies. Both filling and not that calorie dense.

Pasta is a lower GI carb then other things out there like brown rice and WW bread, it gets a bad rap because of how caloric dense it is, also if pasta is eatn by itself yes it could be bad and spike insulin a bit, but with a complete meal the Gi is irrelevant,
eat ur damn pasta.

Pasta besides oatmeal is probably my main carb source.
#1 its cheap as ****!
#2 its so easy to eat!

I guess thats good to know. I see allot of people who are lean and cut who never eat pasta. Looks like its working for them

i've been eating pasta throughout my entire contest prep
my glutes are striated
just hit your macros
