And DONE! In....1 hour and 20 minutes! It is now 7:51 and I have eaten.....breakfast at 6:30, tuna sandwich at 12:00, protein bar at 3:00, and a rice cake at 6:00. We got home late today because we had to pick up some groceries and stop into the liquor store. Now I’m happily drinking a beer and waiting on the bbq chicken we bought to heat up! I shall feast on chicken and fries. Oh yes.

Hai guys! :D Aren't Saturday mornings the BEST EVER! :D Waiting on my coffee, then I gotta wash up and go pick Stephen's surprise presents up :D YAY! Then we're all going to the mall. Andrew goes back to NL on Monday, so we're putting the tree up very soon :D Most likely on Tuesday! We decorated the kitchen/room place last night while listening to Christas songs and drinking champagne :D It was awesome. Anyway, I think today will be shoulder day. Tomorrow is legs!!! :D DEADLIFTS! WOOOT!
Hi ANDREA!!!! :D :D
It was so nice! I have to take a picture of what I did- I took a big string of artificial boughs and cut up some fake poinsettia (never would have thought it'd be spelled that way!) flowers and put them in amongst the boughs, and then put some golden bells in between each flower and hung it up along the window! SO pretty!
The tree is 6.5 feet and artificial. We had to get a fake one because real ones are too messy and this place is prety much a crawl space :p I can't wait to put it up! We've got the lights and garland and decorations, we just need a tree topper!!! :D
Heya Lori!
Just got caught up in here. Sorry I've been MIA, new job plus little sleep equals tired Erica lol.
Ooooo, new hair eh? I think a light brown with caramelishs colored highlight would look awesome :D I would do a more neutral or beige colored brown if you want the highlights to pop or if you want it more of an accent then maybe a light golden brown color. With your hair so light you might need to go a shade above or below what you want, hair color is funny that way lol. I would do both services at once and they should be able to do it no problem, they will probably foil the hair first and color around it. Hope the stylist that you are seeing tomorrow helps you come up with some good ideas :)
Yay for interview on Monday! They must really like your work and having that as solid full time experience on the resume is always good thing.
I love the inventiveness of your workouts! I have some ideas now since we are planning to move into a house in April and I get my home gym back, notes have been taken :D Pfft, like you working out in a sports bra, shorts and miss matching socks would ever offend anyone
All you talk of holiday decorating makes me
Lol'd at 'Turkey curls'.
Good job getting a fake tree. You won't have much to clean up after you're done with it.
Love the turkey curls you look so good in that vid!
I think the darker blonde/ light brown would be pretty with your light pieces still in there. Will make your eyes pop.
You gotta go a shade darker though because your hair has been light for so long the color will fade fast. Which might be a good thing If you don't like it :)
Haven't checked in , in a while.
I see you're still putting up great routines. Nice work.
Must be nice being warm when you work out...I work out in my garage and as you know, it's cold out now....lol
I'm heading up to your area to visit friends next week. I think we are all going out for a couple drinks.
Keep up the good work.

THAT'S IT!!!!! That's what I want! I didn't know how to describe it, but yes! Beige brown with highlights. That's the combo I keep seeing but couldn't match the color with words! :) I wanted to get both things done at once but couldn't really afford it where it's christmas time, but then Stpehen's family gave us each some money for christmas so I'm going to use some of that as well! Yay! I just have too book an appointment- the weekend was so busy trying to get everything on the go. Andrew mentioned his hair dresser friend to me but didn't give me any details about that, and we won't see him after tonight, so I don't know about that one :p But if he mentions it when he gets up I may get it done today.
OOoh, look at what I found!! :D

Thanks Boomer!!! :)
I thought about that too, instead of getting the whole thing dyed and then highlighted, I could just get the hair around a few pieces died a more brown color. Huh! :)
That's a good point! I don't mind it beng a bit darker, but eventually would like to highlight it to death! :)

Thank you! :) Yes, it's very warm, that radiator really radiates heat! lol! Probelm is htough we can't leave the door open or the mice will come in since we're on ground level, and we don't have screens in the windows and they're on ground level too so we can't leave those open unattended. So I'll have to buy some workout shorts!
Where do you live too around here??

REALLY!? Seriously!? I LOVE SNS products! I swear, ever since I used them the last time, NOTHING compares. They are hands down my favourite supps yet!!! :D I would log them in a second! :D

Kasara! :( I heard about what happened in your journal :( It made me sad. I wish you could still log. I miss your log. How are you!?
Hai Guys! Guess what today is!? DEADLIFT DAY! Well, really it's leg day, but I'm more excited about the deadlifting :D Going to add more volume into my leg workouts now since I discovered a few new exercises! It's really hard to do a lot of volume with just squat and deadlift variations, not having machines makes them difficult! But today I plan on deficit deads, then deadlifting 180x25-30, then doing zerchers, box squats, and a few secondary exercises. It's just that whenever I get to box squats I'm toast already. lol! Going to try to get them in though! :D
Yuppers! Tomorrow will be chest and triceps day! I didn't do shoulders yesterday, but they were sore anyway! I will do shoulders on Wednesday. Yes. :D Tree is going up soon! Cleaning up the living room tomorrow! Woot woot! Can't wait to post pics! :D Be back later with workout and vids!! :)

I'm about 1/2 hr south in Burlington. I have family and friends in Cambridge and Kitchener.
Today’s workout was pretty good! I’m getting sick of Zerchers now, I’m going to switch those with box squats for a while. I’m also getting sick of 3-5 reps, so I’m thinking of changing that to 8-10 reps, and then doing 10-15 for everything else. Actually, lately I’m just throwing weight on the bar and lifting it for as many reps as I can, and I’m finding that rather fun so I may just keep doing it! :p
I didn’t want to post videos today- I’m having a fat day :D Hahahaha! I just posted pics of my weird exercises so you’ll know what I’m talking about :)

Fun workout! I hurt very much now! Going to go shower/wash clothes/cook supper :) From this week I may start doing workouts like these and then having just a box squat + high rep deadlift day on Wednesday.
Love all your fun and funky lifts today, Ms Santa :) :)
Awesome Bar in the Corner Workout there Santa Gobbs :D
I have an artificial tree too ... which I love, but I also missed that tree smell, so every year I just buy candles that smell like a Christmas tree and burn them all the time!
Love the hair ideas! Can't wait to see some pics once you have it done!
Happy Sunday :)
Oh my. Catching up on over a week's worth of journalling for all the ladies in here is going to take me a looooong time!
I'm with you on the real-tree smell. I have always downright refused to have a fake Christmas tree. Hubz has no sense of smell (yes, serious) so the "real tree smell" means nothing to him. But I am adamant. Real tree, or no tree, buster! :D No tree, this year. Shoebox apartment means no room. :(
Can't WAIT to see how your hair turns out! It's hard to stray from routine sometimes, hey? You get used to something, and then it's hard to change. Or maybe that's just me. Make sure you post lots and lots of pictures of the finished product! :)
Love the Santa hat in your videos. Makes me so happy. Also love all your creative lifts. You should write a book! :D (How's that for extra income?!)
Hope your week starts off great! 9 days 'til Christmas! :D
Glad I could help with the hair color :D I'm such a nerd when it comes to stuff like hehe. That site is awesome, bookmarked!
I giggled at the Santa Hat :D Gotta get festive somehow eh? I agree with the real Christmas trees, I miss having them but living in an apartment the fake ones are easier. I'm going go with Swooshies idea and get some evergreen scented candles to have the smell at least.
I am totally wearing my santa hat on Christmas Eve!
You're so cute.
And clearly not at all fatz silly.
Hai guys! Trying not to post too to much at work. lol! But I'm on break now, so it's ok :p I have been reading your journals all day though!
@Andrea- thanks!! Glad you like it! haha!
@Swooshie- THAT"S AN AWESOME IDEA! Will pick some up for sure :D
@Ricki- thank you! I'm going to make an appointment tomorrow- there are two salons next door to my house, but the one I decided on is closed on Mondays :p Wouldn't hurt to let my hair grow out a bit more anway :) So I emailed them this morning about booking one for this week/weekend. Excited! Will take piccies for sure!
@Erica- So glad you know your hair stuff- I was hoping you'd come in a shed some light on the subject for me! Scented candles + fake tree doesn't sound so bad :) I'm buying candles! Yay!
@P- Aww, thanks! You know I gained 2 pounds!? lol! In....3 months. So not too bad! :)
So today I am sore as heck. Everywhere hurts. My whole back is destroyed and hurts constantly from soreness, my rear delts, hammies, glutes...Ow! Tonight I will do chest and triceps, but not max out since I know I'll be weaker due to fatigue in my back/core/rear delts. So I will keep the reps higher (6-15) and do it anway rather than skipping it. Then its house cleaning/tree putting up/champagne drinking time :D JOY! :D
Hai guys! :D Didn't get my workout in after- when I went home and saw all the wrok that had to be done- I just had to get at it. I cleaned and gutted the living room, cleaned up the hallway, stored all Andrew's things away, washed the floor/walls, rearanged the living room, put the tree together (Branch by stupid branch  ) and we got the lights, ornaments, and garland on! Today I bought a tree topper, and a tree skirt. We still need to buy some really pretty, special ornaments :)
So we drank and listened to christmas music and decorated again D: hahaha! Didn't stop until 9:00, then I had to shower and make lunch and do dishes. Ugh! Work. lol! Today we are going to do a workout! Chest and triceps. Heavy squats tomorrow.
We're also going to wrap some presents and put them under the tree and drink more wine! Tis the season, right? :D I have tree piccies! Will post some piccies later :) I have an appointment to get my hair trimmed, colored and foiled on Saturday at 11:00. SHould be done in time for my Saturday late afternoon workout! :D WOoot woot! Christmas hair for Lori! :D Will catch up with you all shortly :)
I love your last post. I think that has been my modus operandi lately as well - getting Christmas stuff done and having some drinks ;) Tis the season indeed!!
All of the hair talk in here has me wanting to get some highlights done - it's been so long since I've done any color in my hair at all, I love letting my hair get completely brown and then getting light and warm blond highlights - I have so much hair it's so darn expensive though!
Have fine with today's workout and then enjoy the wine - I will likely be doing the same myself this evening haha!!

I need to re-stock the alcohol supply!! lol! :D
I'm really excited about getting it done! My hair really needs it. Hahaha! I'm still a little blurry on what I'm getting done though. I guess....Medium beige brown base w/platinum and a light caramel color foils??? lol! And a trim :) YAY! It'll cost me about 200 bucks! But it'll be worth it!
Thanks! I rested, wrapped presents, and drank a beer instead :p Blah. lol!
You really are wife material.
Sure am! :D
Ok guys, new plan! Lately I'm just not recovering and I don't stop all day long. So 3 workouts a week- chest/triceps/shoulders, back/biceps, legs. If I can get another workout in it'll be another shoulder day + miscellaneous (light legs if it's not too close to leg day). Most likely it'll be 4 days a week during the holidays, but not sleeping enough + being on the go so much makes for a tired, crappy feeling Lori.
I'm liking the amount of volume I'm doing lately, so 3-4 days a week and every workout will be full of volume. The main 3 anyway, the 4th will be smaller. Anyway, lets talk about body composition for a while :)
Since I moved up here I've been eating whatever and lifting as hard as I can. I bought a scale over the weekend! The first day I got it I was feeling fluffy, but not as fluffy as previous weeks and I weighed in at 125.8. I imagine my super fluffy days I was more around 126.5-127. So since then I've just been on a little diet :p Nothing crazy, but 1600 cals all week + 2000 cals on the weekends. I failed to mention that! lol! Anyway :)
Today I weighed in at 124.8, and I'm feeling super awesome! I wore pants that didn't fit me last year when I was over 120 :D They fit perfect! Last year if I was 121-122 they wouldn't even stand a chance :) Everything still fits, and my pants even have some slack! I have abs! I've never had abs this defined at this weight before! I'm seeing changes in my rear delt/lat/shoulder area, too! I think I grew some muscles! :D
I was 121.8 after dieting before I left. After maintenance for a few weeks I probably went back to about ~123. So I imagine I gained about 3-4 pounds in about 3 months. I think I did a nice slow mini bulk. So I'm planning on cutting about 2 pounds, and then in January putting the scale away and eating at "maintenance" again without tracking cals and gaining very slowly again until about April/may :)
Bored yet? lol! Chest/triceps/shoulders later! :D
Lori dear whatever you are doing it is working!
Lori dear whatever you are doing it is working!
^^^This!
Happy Wednesday, chickie! Can't wait to see your beautiful new hair this weekend.
You are absolutely amazing. I love hearing how your pants didn't fit when you were barely more than 120, and now they're perfect at 124! What a testimony!
If you didn't buy a scale then you wouldn't have to worry about putting it away... could have spent that money on beer! Just sayin'.... :p
Workin' by the mirror and clothes sizes seems to be working for ya!
Lori dear whatever you are doing it is working!
Aww, thanks! Just trying to refine what exactly I AM doing! lol! I feel like I'm constantly learning more about what works for me!!! I'll be crazy someday! :D

I actually wasn't even going to take them with me since I never wear them because they were too small! But I think I'd be very upset if I didn't look better at a higher weight than last year. lol! Ideally I'd like to be lean at 130-135 :D
