"We" didn't decide it was 1.39 I said that obviously jokingly after geo said I passed it with a .39 while discussing an entry exam that you have no idea what was being given entry to. In other words it was an inside joke you're not privy to.

Random thought/question -
so i'm cutting, and lets say i cycle my cals so i have a higher cal day (close to if not at maintenance) on my weak days (legs for me, surprising i know), would this help with recovery? I squat on mondays and my legs are shot until thurs/friday errytime, inhibiting my ability to deadlift on thursdays like i need to.

try it and see. It is highly individual what works best in terms of calorie, macro, timing changes.
Short answer. Maybe

Probably, I'd schedule most calories after my workout or have the 'refeed' the next day. I think you train fasted so that should work with you. I personally like to schedule refeeds on days I train lagging parts and before back or leg day. Although lately, I've had to schedule them around social events

Didn't you just get accepted to an ivy league school? You're awfully depressing considering your situation. Some of us are barely making it through community college let alone even getting the caliber education you are.

ucla, uchicago, northwestern, brown, michigan
all GREAT programs. but checking ******** and seeing statuses from friends who got into columbia, yale, berkeley, duke, and nyu doesn't help.
academia has a looooong ass memory and where a person goes to grad school will literally haunt them for the rest of their career. and I just don't know if I'll be able to do the types of things I want to do with my scholarship w/o getting into a top 4 or 5 program. I was so excited when I got in, but I'm now coming to the realization that regardless of which of those programs I choose there's a glass ceiling in place before I even set foot on campus. Sucks :/
talking with my mentor tomorrow, might discuss possibilities for reapplying next year.

Solid line-up so far! Congrats!
Talking with a mentor is probably the best thing you can do for yourself as of now, but at the end of the day, it's all up to you. Just make sure not to let your family/friends/mentor persuade you into making a decision you don't want to make. Do what will make you happy so that you'll have no regrets :)
If you end up going to Brown, we can go grab a coffee on Thayer :D

Some of the best work comes out of podunk nothing university. While a great environment will certainly help you to create better work and your school having a rep definitely helps; quality work is quality work. Plus, I think the best environment isn't necessarily the one with the best name, but one that is working theoretically in your direction and one in which you could thrive. I obviously don't know your situation, but I don't think it is best to evaluate it after you get a rejection letter. Take some time, think it over, and talk with someone you trust who can give you unbiased suggestions(aka mentor sounds like a good idea).

Maybe a was a little harsh earlier.. You've got a bright future and there's no reason to dwell on the things you can't control.
Be proud in what you've accomplished. I'm sure there's a lot of people who were turned down by the schools that want you

lol. She's just so dramatic about everything.. She's still hung up on LIME's comments. She's in a position that others would dream of and she's focusing on the bad stuff.
Edit: I have a friend who is nearly on her death bed with kidney failure.. She missed a lot of school when she was younger and couldn't go to college. Unless she gets a new kidney, she's going to be dead before 2014.
Lauren needs to rethink some of things in life and be THANKFUL for having the opportunity to go to great schools.
Edit x2: Yes the FB group has turned me cold. It's time to stop posting as much in there, just like here. Icy weather has kept me cooped up the past 48 hours
