Timing and diligence starts this weekend, 16 weeks out. Then real calorie cutting starts at 12 weeks and hard dieting starting at 6 weeks. That is my plan but I will see what my dietician thinks about it....sent it to her today for review. :D

Nice, it looks like you put some really good thought and prep into this already. Prepare to succeed right?
Well time to wait and see what she says.

I hope....I am second guessing myself now by thinking I should just stay high calorie and then slam myself into a huge deficit and shock the body, although I am known to do things at a slow and steady pace...
Beckyt.....when you start cutting do you calorie cut week over week sort of thing and increase intensity of workout and cardio or do you just drop a huge amount of calories at one time...
Happy Saturday, Canucks.
I love your wife, can I marry her?
Well we'll see how she feels about the polygamy thing...3somes in my future??? LOL
I'm optomistic that you will see great results, heres a stretch I do every morning during or after i shower, then again after training.
The trick is to go deeper into it and as your hammys loosen up and you will begin to feel it more throughout your back. Goodluck bro!
foam rolling helps to.
Heard good things, where do I purchase one?
Riggs you can take that one step further if you like. There is a yoga move where you can place your hands palms up under your feet. It stretches out wrists and forearms as well as the back. The looser your hammies get the more you will be able to straighten your legs (to which I am no where near straight legged yet)
Thanks, I think I'm gonna go get some professional massage, I had my wife really dig in deep last night and I feel better today than I have in weeks...think some deep tissue is just what I need.
Happy weekend everyone, I'm working yeah!

I drop 100 calories at a time and usually stay there until I stop seeing any loss. Usually takes about 2 weeks and I'll drop 1.5 lbs for each 100 cal drop (do much for calories in calories out theory....). Workouts stay the same. I still don't do cardio on contest prep unless I have a day off work. Lowest I go is 1700 cal/day with 2 moderate cheat meals per week. I have never cut carbs either.
Lived in Quesnel BC for 20 years of my life, now residing in Western Australia. Hows things up north anyways?

I should be golden then if I can stick with limiting my PB intake, that will cut at least 300 cal per day LOL.

Mmmmm PB.......
Mmmmm PB.......
Not feeling the love for PB today. Was at a little get together last night and ate stuff I knew I shouldn't have so today I feel a little icky.
Morning everyone.
Had 3 days off the gym and I can't wait to get back at it tomorrow. :)
Shoulders tomorrow I'm thinkin.
today's pet peeve.....do not use the wheelchair access button in the winter if it is not neccessary. the poor CSR sitting at the front desk of the gym directly in front of the door freezes her a$$ off on a good day with the doors shut. then some butthead who is empty handed uses the access buttons leaving both doors (or even one door) open letting all the cold air in. let's just say it makes for a very cranky Goodlife CSR. rant done.
Holy lots of Canucks on here lol
I hate when people do that, and they do it a lot.
I used that button a lot at my gym LOL but it's at the top of the stairs where nobody is lol I really hate when people don't hold the door open for me (or others) and If I see someone coming like 20 feet behind me I push the button as I walk in.

I try to eat 1700 cals regularly... LOL
Then again, I'm just trying to straight lose weight (aka: Lift heavy, eat a bit less), but I've been eating too many carbs and not enough proteins the past couple of months.

I think 1700 cal too low for your height and weight. I bet if you increased your calories by 10-20% you would probably see better results that would be easier to maintain in the long run.
I just cut out the PB from my diet last week and that put me back down to around 1700 cal a day and I am starting to lose already for my cut.
