Nice to know you read my journal. :p
Last time I attempted a 1 RM, I hit 125. There are no state records for my age and weight class in a couple of federations, so just putting up a number would give me a record. But I'd like it to be respectable. I'd be happy if I could get to 135.

Haven't weighed myself recently but I'm getting leaner and leaner every week!
Today was a chest and ab workout:
Smolov Jr Bench Week 1, Day 2: 7 sets of 5 - 150x5x7
Incline Dumbbell Bench: 65x5, 60x8
Incline Dumbbell Flies: 35x10, 40x7
Pec Deck: 188x9, 213x6.5
Knee Raises: BWx30x3
Weighted Oblique Side Crunches: 45x30x30
Ab Machine 70x20x2
Took one scoop of Gluta-Tren and sipped it during my workout, especially during my 7 sets of barbell bench press. Around set 4 I was feeling quite fatigued but I kept sipping thee Gluta-Tren and managed to complete my 7 sets of 5 reps without hitting failure, so I' very happy with that! I don't know if I'd be able to complete all 7 sets of 5 reps without the help from Gluta-Tren. Tomorrow is back day and thursday is my day off, So I'll continue with Smolov Jr Friday and Saturday

Good work being done in here!
I think you have that 135 in you erin!
OK, by the time I typed that all in there last night, I was too tired to think. After a whopping week and a half of trying PHAT, I'm giving up on it. lol. 5 days a week is a lot and as much as I might wish to have the free time to do it, I just don't. Well, I do, but I like seeing my husband and kids. lol.
So, I'll finish out this week and then I'm going to give Madcow's 5x5 another go. I really enjoyed it the last time I ran it (2010, maybe?) and 3 days is far more doable for me with kid schedules, yoga and TKD.

Thanks! If I can stay in the game, I can get to 135.
Had a nice back session with ramsgoldberg this morning and I got my internship finalized for the summer too!
Took a scoop of my Wildberry Gluta-Tren intra-workout and also tried the Orange Gluta-Tren which tastes amazing.
Back and Calves:
Deadlift (5/3/1 day): 300x5, 335x3, 375x2! (PR!, now that I'm looking at my notes I realized I was supposed to deadlift 370, not 375 so I added an extra 5lbs for the month!)
Bent Over Barbell Rows: 180x8x2, 180x10
Incline Dumbbell T-Bar Rows: 30lbs per hand x 10, 30x11, 40x8x2

Good job to the both of you. Great job with the Deadlift PR scoveg! Erin get better !

I like it. But honestly, I don't feel I get any more out of it than I do the regular version. That said, I was dosing 1.5 scoops with the regular version and am only doing 1 with the dime version, so I am getting a cost savings out of it.

45 minute class
Rope drills. Yuck. Too much jumping for my tastes. :) On the up side, it's bo staff week.
Going to be tough getting to class over the next few weeks. I had to race from my younger son's soccer game to class. I could have done the same Wednesday after my older son's game, but on sparring nights it's even tougher because I need to get there earlier to get my gear on. Hopefully, I'll get there tonight for my second class of the week.
Just wear your gear to the games :D :p
No way! It's starting to get warm here. That gear is hot as hell. Just putting it on and standing there in winter had me sweating like crazy. And the gear smells it. The lower belts stay away from us on sparring nights. lol.
Forgot to take my Gluta-Tren on friday and my workout actually kinda sucked but I think it was because I was mostly tired and stressed
However, today was an excellent ARM day!
Standing Barbell Bicep Curl: 75x8, 80x8, 85x8, 85x7 - Perfect Form
Close Grip Ez Bar Curls: 85x8, 85x9, 85x7
Hammer Preacher Curls: 20x8, 22.5x8, 25x8 Per Arm (First time doing these on a preacher bench, looks I need to bump up the weight)
Reverse Grip Curls: 65x8x2
Seated Curls: 20x8x3 - Slow negative with supination at the top
Skullcrushers: 80x8, 80x8, 75x8, 75x8
Close Grip Ez Bar Bench: 80x10, 75x12 (Remember I'm following Charles Poliquins tricep routine so these and skullcrushers are giant sets, I explained this last week)
Pushdowns: Setting (11x10, 11x15, 7x11) - (11x8, 11x8, 7x11)
Bench Dips: BWx20, BW+45x10x2
Leg Press Calves: 360x30x3

Workout felt good. I was mildly surprised because my back was a little sore. I was weeding yesterday and bent over instead of kneeling too much. Lesson learned.
A little background on my kids, for those who don't know. I have a 7 year old son, Kevin, with ADHD who is both the bane of my existence and the most hilarious kid I know. I have an 11 year old son, Mike, who is the perfect kid - never in trouble, great grades, Boy Scout, has the biggest heart (and I don't know where he gets that from). From time to time, they do things that I'll brag or complain about, and the background helps put it in context.
Both boys are playing soccer this season. Mike has played 2 seasons per year since he was 4 and loves it. He played travel one year, but had an abusive coach that killed him on the travel program. So now he plays rec for the fun. Kevin has played twice since he was 4. He's moody and sometimes wants to do things just because Mike does them, and sometimes doesn't want to do them because Mike does them. This season, he wants to be like Mike, so he has been dying to get into goal (Mike played goalie on his travel team and is decent at it - it's his favorite position).
Kevin got his chance to play in goal yesterday. Mike went over to remind him to use his hands. Kevin's reply, "Mike, I'm NOT using my hands. Now, Mikey, leavey!" and kicked him out of the goal coaching position. lol. So, he gets scored on immediately by not using his hands. Lesson learned. Next time they shoot on him, he gets the ball. As he goes up to drop kick it, instead of running or walking as other goalies do, he skips. I have to get a video of this, it's hilarious. I probably should have been annoyed with him yesterday, but luckily for his he's too frigging funny to stay mad at.
