High/Low Pulley

Man I really like the compactness of that lat low row. I was going to buy a similar one with either a 250 or 300 stack from Williams Strength:

I ended up going with the Legend 971 (though I'll have to wait a couple months to receive it). I should have opted for the shorter WS because I have a pretty small space. The bench, which is what makes it so long, is held to the main unit (freestanding) by two bolts so I'm going to attach it with wing nuts for quick removal of the bench.

BAVE that 971 looks solid. What are the dimensions on that thing? Hope I'm not being to nosey but what does that thing go for $ ? Legend makes some quality stuff. Whatever it was I doubt you'll be dissappointed.

The 971 is basically the same width as other lat low rows: 29". It's total footprint is longer at 100" (most are around 70" or as little as 60" if a plate loaded home unit). Weight is approximately 600 lbs.
You can see that the bench is more than 50% of the length. My plan is to store the bench next to the main piece whenever I need extra space (using the wingnuts). The only reason its bolted is to keep the bench in place, not to stabilize the unit. Also, these are right around $2600 shipped. Considering anything with a 300lb stack is around $2500(Williams & EliteFTS)-$3500(Sorinex) shipped it seems like a good deal. Some of the selling points were the true low row bench setup and the ability to use either pulley without cable changes. The low pulley is also low enough to use for shrugs, curls, lying tri extensions, etc.

The compactness of the setup I have is really nice because I am renting a property, I do not own it. I may have to move around for work, so I really need stuff that is basic and nothing too over the top. That said, you have some great options there.

Recently I've been realizing it may be plausible to get a gym set up on the common area of my apartment complex. I'm trying to make a list of what we would need so I can start looking for prices and what not. So the list I have so far is:
Rubber Flooring
1 or 2 adjustable benches (for flat and incline)
Power Rack
1 or 2 olympic bars
Lat pulldown machine with attachments (triangle, bar and rope)
Dumbbell set 10-80lb on 5lb increments
Pull-up bar
Anything I'm missing?

D2rmind - Beautiful rack - that's a 3133? I didn't know that rack could be purchased with an open top but I really like it that way.

Thanks. It's actually a 3171. I wanted to make sure that I could do overhead work without worrying about making contact with the top of the cage. So far so good, though I haven't had it long. Legend makes some nice stuff. The bench I got with it is a 3103 and it's one of the nicest, if not the nicest I've used. Very solid for an adjustable.

That is a disassembled strongman yoke (I take it apart for storage), and in the corner there is a small shelving system where I have a few accessories.
Here is what the Yoke looks like when it is assembled:

Thank you - I should have posted 'before' and 'after' photos as it was quite a transition.
The lat pulldown / low row combo is a Nautilus plate load piece, seems to be well constructed and I picked it up for a reasonable price on Craigslist.

I realize the first post of my gym had pictures so small you could not see them. I apologize. I am going to try again. I ordered a Dark Horse Rack (thanks to all the good advice on this forum) about a week ago. This will replace the Smith machine. Here is my gym (In my basement)

What kind of bars are those with the hex shaped sleeves?

Some of you folks have very nice home gyms! I am very much a beginner, I only have an adjustable incline/decline bench, PowerBlock Pro Set 85 dumb bells, and a jump rope. I do also have a gym membership, but am currently scouring craigslist for deals on used equipment.
