I rarely see diets on preps based on IF-style.
Most diets I see in prep-logs/bb diets are the 5-8 meal approach.
What do you think about it?

You're not going to find a lot of support for IF around here. It just isn't optimal for competitive BB-ing purposes from everything I've read/watched/listened to. Not saying that it doesn't work for general fitness purposes.
I think its fine it that's what fits your life style. In my opinion its not optimal as getting 1-2 large doses of protein a day will not give you the same effect as 4 or 5 with regards to protein synthesis. What effect this has on overall body composition or performance may be very slight but I personally like eating throughout the day. Having said that I have a friend who eats twice a day, 12 hours apart then lifts crazy weight drug free. I believe its what fits your life most importantly.
I am not a fan for reasons stated above....but the best way to find out is to try it and see how it works for you. I just do not believe it is optimal for the average hard training athlete, but do see how it may better fit into someone's lifestyle.
It's not for me personally. I really didn't like how i felt or looked. If you think it might be for you the only way to know is to try it out
What Paul said. I think it has its place, especially in terms of diet adherence which is a HUGE factor most people neglect. I did something along the lines of IF where I spaced my protein out over 4 meals and stockpiled my carbs and fat for dinner.
