Rhino does the shield have the improved trigger? Looking juicy
Strong hate on insomniac. Not easy to simply move across the country because your parents conceived you in a chit state. My extended family all lives in illinois or ohio. Brb moving to arizona and having nothing but best friend as support system.
-
1 instant friend checking in. I even have a condo that I'll rent to ya. I agree. It would be a huge commitment to make a move. You guys are so young though.

unrelated, half a page of ****ty music? no more.
edit: People are actually advocating and considering moving away from a lifetime of friends and family, away from cities filled with reasons to live there... because of a magazine ban? This is the #1 priority in your decision making process on where to live? You are seriously ****ing nutjobs.

Best mate of over a decade is literally so busy with school he can't be bothered to go out anymore. And he's going out of state for grad school. My right hand man has become so pussy whipped, he literally won't leave the house if his GF's home. Whenever she's at work, he's busy with his new twelve pill a day painkiller habit. Family is spread across WA, MD, and the other side of the state.
Meanwhile the leftists have taken over the legislature and transplants from CA are pouring in by the hundreds. The cost of living is going up, to boot.
I've wanted to move to AZ for two years and might finally have the chance to make it a reality.

He clearly is not happy with his living situation all the way around. And the laws and restrictions of a state like New Jersey go far beyond magazines. I mean, they don't even let you pump your own gas. Seriously...WTF?
How about this: Advice: Move the fuk out of your parents house. You'll be happier.

I really doubt that anyone is moving strictly because of a mag ban. But if you're a gun owner, getting pissed off about taxes, not being able to pump your own gas, hate ****ty storm response, etc, this could quite possibly be the tipping point.

Of course, insom himself said that a limited magazine capacity does not affect him because his local range doesn't allow rapid fire.
So, yeah, there's that.

Its just a 40c, not the shield. Its pretty new and does have the improved trigger however. Some of that gritty pre-travel is gone, its not too bad at all. I have a fullsize m&p 40 thats a couple years old and after about 200-300 rounds a lot of that grittiness went away but I still gave it the Apex makeover.

That is also the case in PA on the state gamelands ranges. No more than 5 rounds in a pistol, no more than 3, yes 3, in a long gun and no rapid fire. I have been ejected previously for violating this. They literally want you to do a 3 count between shots. Its no fun at all.
Lawler are you saying mate in an attempt to get me to read your posts in cockney english? It worked.

North jersey is awesome only for its proximity to NY which honestly makes it about 100 times more awesome than anywhere anyone else in this thread . Having been to arizona, I cannot for the life of my fathom why anyone would want to live there but to each their own.
I guess a large part of it is going to be what you want to do for a career and how important that is to you. You can be a cop anywhere but large cities offer career and entertainment opportunity that can't be found anywhere else.

I'm not going to knock on the big cities, but I've visited NYC several times and went to part of college in Boston, hated that for the most part. I love being able to drive for 30 minutes and be in the mountains, the great hunting grounds, lack of poullution, mountain biking/hiking, etc. If you are really into outdoor stuff it's tough to beat CO, although I've also liked AZ and places like SOCAL as well. Always jelly of the desert fun you can have out there. I've never lived by the water, but I guess that's one of the nice things about living near the cost.

Yeah, there's the chitty guidos, the chitty smell, the chitty proximity to NYC, the chitty . . . pretty much everything. Nothing personal against you, sleepy. It's just a state I'll never willingly set foot in.

Got 17 of 'em. And .45 isn't the only handgun round I shoot.
It's a slippery slope. Next it'll be "assault rifle" features a la California. My beloved state; the best in the country, is going to fall at the hands of new-age "progressive" liberals who want in on the skiing and legal marijuana.

NY is cool. Couldn't be bothered to live there, though. Tyrannical gun laws, astronomical cost of living, no nearby outdoor recreation, pollution, poverty, high crime rate, loud, coastal, and no opportunity to drive.
Surely you wouldn't rather live there than in the desert where it's always hot, land is cheap and plentiful, there are more females than males (and they are HOT), there are outdoor activities in every direction, you're safe from hurricanes and tsunamis, and there aren't granola wackos in shawls every ten feet.
I cannot for the life of me fathom why you wouldn't want to live in the southwest.

I will miss being able to drive right down highway 58 and go shooting/camping/wheeling. Guess it'll just be red clay wheeling and desert ranges for me.

I would move, I applied to a bunch of forest service jobs in Arizona. Also might have a contact out in Montana for a private engine crew.

30 minutes west on 80 = NE PA. Literally every outdoor opportunity you could want excluding the desert.
That said, this is one reason why pittsburgh is awesome. I live 10 minutes from downtown and have 7 miles of woods starting at my back yard.
-
I'll stick with Iowa, although I'd like to visit the Southwest someday. As for anything on the east coast, no thanks. I'd love to see the museums, but that's it, and I wouldn't deal with the traffic to get to them.

I based this gun purchase on ammo availability in my area. There's more .40 on the shelves than anything else.

That is what everybody has been reporting. It's weird. You never know ahead of time which calibers will be. I guess you can figure 5.56/.223 and x51/.308 and to a lesser extent x39 will go up in demand, but their supply will also be high so it will catch up...but for example last time .380 ceased to exist, period, and there was still plenty of .22lr.
Now .22lr is all gone, and .40 is notable in it's presence. Who would have thought?
-
Yeah, the only thing i can figure is that all the ammo makers are crapping out .40 as fast as they can to keep up with the billions of rounds teh gov is buying.
