Advice on diet
Hey guys,
I've recently been asking questions about my cut and almost 100% of the people told me that I shouldn't cut because it's bad for me and just by lean bulking I could actually loose the fat while building more muscle.
My question is, what's the best way to go around this? Should I lean bulk tracking macros? Should I eat at maintenance? Should I just eat what ever I want? Or lastly should I eat what ever I want as long as it's clean/healthy.
Currently I was tracking macros and eating around 500 under maintenance but I've been told that it's stupid to do that as a teenager.
Below I've also attached two pictures of how I currently look like.

You're still a teen and growing so I would not restrict food at the moment. Just eat and lift heavy!

My goal was to have abs for summer and then to lean bulk, but if I do a clean lean bulk is it possible to still get abs for summer?

Looking at your pics you just simply dont have the mass to go on a cut that will result in visible abs, well, not without looking like a skeleton. Go for a lean bulk like mentioned, get some mass, abs are overrated anyway.

This. I'd spend the next 1-2 years putting on mass and if you still care about abs at that point, then cut down and actually have something to reveal.

So you don't think it's worth cutting to be lean and then maintaining a lean body while lean bulking for 2 years to look good throughout that time?

Not at your current state. You need to develop a solid muscle base so you can have something to cut down to in the future.

You are 17, focus less on abs and more on growth. You are at the prime time in your life for growth, you don't get a second chance for that later.
