Voortman Flax Seed Cookies
Since I have started this special diet to help control my headaches, I have had to cut out nuts, chocolate, and raisins. Unfortunately, that rules out just about every good cookie. :(
So while browsing through the cookie aisle at my local grocer, I just happened to stumble across these...

They are Voortman Flax Seed cookies. Sorry I couldn't find a better picture, I may snap one and upload it later.
Here are the ingredients: Enriched white flour, vegetable oil (canola, soybean, modified palm and palm kernel, sunflower), rolled oats, brown sugar, sugar, glucose-fructose, flax seed, ground flax seeds, baking soda, soya flour, glucose syrup, salt, dried whole egg, cinnamon.
Here is the nutrition information: 1 Cookie (18g) calories: 80, total fat: 4g=6%, sat.fat: 1g=5%, trans fat: 0g, polyunsaturated: 2g, omega-6: 1g, omega-3, 0.7g, monounsatrated: 1g, cholesterol: 0mg, sodium: 90 mg=4%, carbs: 11g=4%, fibre: 1g=4%, sugar: 5g, protein: 1g, iron: 2%.
So they aren't the best things for you, but they really are not that bad compared to all the other cookies out there. Plus, they taste really good! I usually pack two of them in my lunch as a snack for the day.
Just thought I would share... maybe someone else with cookie cravings can enjoy these.
